Current mood: blissful
i realised that this camp is for secondary school students.haha.there is a vast difference in the way us JC students behave.for example, the sec sch students are so enthusiastic about the mass dance while us oldies find every way possible to skip it.when the camp facilitators mentions wet games,a sense of dread envelopes us while the young ones rejoice.as camp draws closer to the end,our group members start to decrease drastically(for mass dance today, yiwen was the only one to turn up initially before a few others and i came along.and that did not even make up the entire group haha).the most obvious sign of the generation gap is that any free time we get is spent sleeping while the sec school kids play hand games and make lots of noise.FOR ME,i want to be this enthusiastic and youthful again.its not that i cant.i got a rude shock when i found out my games group members were all sec1s.i thought they were all sec 3/4s!!that wouldn't have been so bad.haha.but well,im surprised that i can still click with them, through plain crapping..hahaha..i met a few kcpss girls that really reminded me of how i was like when i wasin sec1.innocent and alive, not bogged down by pw or stuff like that.so happy go lucky.maybe i still am happy go lucky, but there's really a difference.woah but i hope they dont see me as some da jie jie man..haha..i spent the morning and early afternoon learning about the renowned Huang Chen Ye Yun, Hwa chong's very own theatrical production that has been running successfully for 28 years staight.cool right.i think it's such a privilege to be part of the Huang Chen legacy.i've always wanted to join somethig like that.maybe i'll go for Broadway..just maybe..haha..we watched videos of the 2009 performance, which is absolutely superb from the acting right down to the props, lighting and sound.they're so good!and the most impressive thing is that most of the stuff is handled by the hci students.the flavourful costumes and props were all made by students!then we were given small workshops on how to do makeup, making costumes, and making props.i made a green robot during the hands on session for the props workshop haha.well,i dont think i learnt much today cos i was trying to keep awake.maybe a few types of lights and thats all?haha.i do enjoy the acting group's contact session though.things always turn funny and i really enjoy listening and interacting with the china ppl.they're really an interesting bunch.haiyaa...such a pity that i cant perform on sat..from now till friday,i can only watch them prepare for the big day on sat.oh well.hahaha.cant wait for tmrw cos it's the finale of ANTM!!!though i already know the winner(teyona),but it wont kill to watch them strut their stuff!!=)

i wonder how i stop people from adding me on this myspace account..i have to block all you people who are clamoring to secure a spot in my prestigious myspace account!sorry, but i reserve these places for people that i know and have myspace(which is ZERO).haha
i finished learning the camp dance today!!!but if you ask me to dance it now,it'll be like looking at barney dance.i cant remember so many steps and this dance is so much simpler than the pjc mass dance!!i am ashamed to admit that i tried to keep awake AGAIN during the group contact time.majority of the people were from china, they spoke so fast, and i half the time i didnt know what going on.i spent te 4 hours thinking abt my groupmates said instead of brainstorming for ideas!so within the first hour,i gave up,and ate gum to keep me awake.i take my hat off to xiaoqi, who actually slept.hahaha.for group time today,we came up a storyline for the performance on sat. i soooooo want to perform!!been soooo looong since i last acted and this would have been a perfect chance!what's more,i get to play one of the major characters, the new student.=) oh well, the next time i get to act would be for open house..i guess i gotta wait till then!during the short periods when my mind was actuall alert enough to think,i realised that the way the china people think is very in-depth,and they really do think out of the box.i was actually quite impressed,so its no wonder they have all sorts of funny-weird innovations that are pretty interesting=) come to think of it,i really do want to live in china!=)

Day 1 of drama camp! the first part of camp was just mass dance and a talk on lighting.the lighting talk was cool but weeelll.....i found it hard to stay awake.then came the fun bit.after lunch,my group chose to go to chinatown to people watch.i like people watching, its very interesting and just by looking at people, you can tell and learn alot of different things.very cool.we started to observe ppl at the mrt station and the best thing is,my group's teacher is some teacher from an arts school in taiwan.something like that.haha.he was very observant and i liked the perspectives that he gave us.he quoted shakespeare's "life's a stage and all on it merely players." i like that quote because i find it very true.the person at 7-11 downstairs is a player, the taxi driver is a player too.so for actors, there's really alot of roles we can observe and store in our 'database'. haha.we were told that as we walked around chinatown,we've to choose someone we see that we want to imitate.that person will be our character for that moment.so,i chose an african lady in a shop choosing a scarf.the interesting is that, while i am playing her, i have to use my imagination to create a story that leads up to the moment.but then again, though i am imitating her at the point in time that i saw her, what we are thinking about may be entirely different.cool right!one more thing i learnt was that i had to pay attention to the most minute details of the person im observing, even right down to the tapping of his fingers.that sorta stuff.i need to take notice of all the small details and insert them into my acting to make it more natural and 'real',because nothing is reality on stage.and it leads me to think, how much more detailed can God be that He chose to give me XXX strands of hair on my head.here i am trying to take note of every detail of a stranger, and there is God,detailed as ever, without missing out on anything in my life=) it's so good to know that Someone is always watching over me =)

Current mood: optimistic
when you dont feel God or see Him in your life, sometimes its because there is no one there to guide you.i realised that some people who used to be christians, have gone cold in terms of their relationship with God,because there is no one there to spur them on.i guess its true that in my walk with God,not that im saying God alone doesnt suffice, but then the people in my life are the ones that really help me put things in perspective and also to encourage me in knowing God more.if it takes one christian to spur another christian on,then do it.our relationship with God though intimate,is not just all about ME AND GOD AND NOBODY ELSE.but its more about what God can use me for.my relationship with Him is not purely for my satisfation and to ensure that i get to heaven, but its to know Him well enough that I may reflect Him upon others and soon,i can see Him in the people around me too.its goes a round when we all start to reflect Him onto each other.that'd be so so cool.haha.thats what friends are for anyway.to help each other grow to look like Christ.that way,it'd be like hanging out with Jesus!so wonderful! "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." Hebrews 10:24
today i went to sharon's house for cell reunion with the Sharon's cell members. It was nice being with these people again.though i see them every week at church, but we hardly talk anymore?seeing sharon pregnant and all is so interesting,i'd just feel so weird when im pregnant.hahahahaha.what if i look kuku!!it actually really nice to have a life inside of you.two hearts beating as one.its like how our hearts should beat according to God's heartbeat if we are to completely depend our life on God.just like how a baby completely depends on his mother for life=) at the end of the day, there's only one thing to say, God is so amazing =)

Current mood: hopeful
my friend is telling me how amway is a scam and all.how people who have gotten into it have lost money.well yeah, initially, you gotta invest.its the same with every other business, you gotta invest time and money before you reap rewards.amway is no different from that. it doesnt promise light work so you gotta work hard to earn your money.i dont believe that amway is there to cheat your money. my friend says that the 'system' is that they make you buy books and tapes that encourage positive thinking.and this is the system that makes you lose money.honestly,i wouldnt call it a system, but i've heard and seen the books and tapes.they really are very motivaitonal and i even passed my chinese zuo wen because of it.its rather cool actually.and why be negative right?seriously,if there is a way to always be positive in this world where negativity is so rampant, why not?only so few people believe in this positivity and these are the people that get to be diamonds.i want to be a diamond=) one of the China diamonds once said that the stage that she isi standing on to testify belongs to everyone who is willing to work for it.thats true.from drama i learned that the stage is a fair place for judging.i know that in amway, alo of people dont do well.there are alot of reasons for that so im not gonna talk more abt it.but i also know that it is possible to be a diamond.there already 8 in singapore.i'd probably be the 9th.haha.but more than that,i know that my motives for doing amway isnot because i'd like to rip people off,but because i know that the products that im selling is gonna help others. if it doesnt help you, fine by me,find something else that helps you then=) right? i believe that all things are possible as long as you allow it to be=) soooo......when i become a diamond,i'll pass you a cd of my testimony=) haha but in the process, you can support me!
