I was playing on the web which I do from time to time and I located this review of ON THE COUCH . . . From: The Digittal Critic ( thedigitalcritic.com): "Well this video popped into my inbox and after watching it, I was pleasantly surprised. This video might be 17 minutes long, but it is definitely worth watching…especially since the production value exceeds almost every video out on the web. The movie is about a 20-something woman who hates how her life has turned out, so she plans to commit suicide. Throughout her suicide videotape, she explains what went wrong through a series of flashbacks. I know the movie sounds depressing, but the good acting and some one-liners prevent the movie from becoming too serious. It is seriously worth the 17 minutes of your time…or you could waste hours by watching pointless youtube videos." Not bad, not bad. How this was posted in January and I just found it now is a mystery that can only be explained by youtube's link clicks. If you want to watch ON THE COUCH or other Wit's End Films content, you can check out our youtube channel . . . http://youtube.com/profile?user=witsendfilms.

Around the WEF household, MLK Day has been changed to "Much Love for Kane" Day. That's because we will be spending the holiday with our new friend, Kane Hodder (The Devil's Rejects, Jason X).
Kane, who joined the cast of PITCHFORK a few months back, will be sitting down with us at the SOTA FX shop in Van Nuys for an interview discussing a variety of gruesome, horror-related topics.
Immediately following the interview, the boys from SOTA FX will encase his head in cement. That should be fun. Don't worry, you won't miss a thing as we will be taking pictures and video of the goings-on.
Kane is having his head cast so that Roy Knyrim and Mark Villalobos can whip up another awesome design as our PITCHFORK villain, ELIJAH HARDEN, continues to evolve. You can learn more about Elijah by linking to his myspace page from our site.
Elijah will also be appearing in a series of promotional spots we are planning to shoot with Kane at the end of the month. So stay tuned!

Hey all,
So 2007 is shaping up to be a big year for the Wit's End Films gang. We are currently prepping a slate of low budget horror films that we hope to shoot this Spring. One of which will be NURSING HOME written by Wit's End alumni, Jack Monroe & Matt Holly, directed by Monroe and produced by the brains of the WEF operation, Tai Fauci, along with our buddies at Sota FX.
Of course, we're still chasing funds for our beloved PITCHFORK and are once again targeting a summer shoot. We have some interest from a domestic financier, but we also have some opportunities developing in Eastern Europe (Prague, Czech Republic to be exact). So stand by and have your passports ready if you plan to be part of the show.
We are also happy to announce the acquisition of MY REMAINS, a script from Kent Lipham and Bill Claybrook that is currently going through an extreme makeover. We are hopeful this will be part of the low budget horror slate shooting this Spring.
And WEF has just agreed to terms with writer, Carey Van Dyke, commissioning him to write BLOOD RAIN, a story developed between Van Dyke and the Wit's End crew (with Matt Holly on point). Another project we are looking to take to Prague.
So enjoy the New Year's parties and be safe! We'll see you next year!

Wit's End Films was invited to attend the red carpet Gala Opening of Europes largest sound stage (a 42,000 sq. ft. behemoth at Barrandov Studios in Prague). So we went.
We arrived Saturday (Dec. 9th) and did the discos all night. Pilsner Urquell was the beverage of choice. Sunday (after a short sleep) we did the walk and gawk tourist thing around Old Town. That evening we had a lovely dinner with the former director of United Artists, Norbert Auerbach, and his colleagues, Jeremy Willis and Dale Wyatt who would become our chief liasons during our stay.
Monday found us touring Prague Castle. That night we arrived on the red carpet and were greeted by exploding fireballs and a row of attractive Czech hostesses. The event itself was amazing. Great food, great music and several dance and stunt performances on a variety of sets built through the sound stage. During the festivities, we did manage to find Jeremy and Dale among the 1500 guests. They introduced us to Vaclav Rouha (AMADEUS), a well-respected Czech producer.
Like losers, we left our camera at the hotel. Luckily, we met up with some friendly Czech dancers from the show and had them take our picture (which they emailed us - thank you, ladies). Tuesday morning we, along with our new friend Jeremy, enjoyed a VIP tour of the Barrandov Studios lead by Marketing Manager, Jan Susta.
Over coffee, discussions were had about partnering with Barrandov on various projects. WEF will be pursuing this avenue in the up-coming year. Stay tuned. Shortly after our tour, we were back on the plane headed home. It was whirlwind, but well worth it. Prague is a beatiful city and the people are as friendly as any in Europe.

The American Film Market (AFM for people in the know). Our initial reason for attending was the RAZORTOOTH screening (which was awesome by the way!!!). Entering the hotel lobby and spotting a huge RAZORTOOTH banner (killer eel slithering from the ballast of some cargo ship) stretched across the balcony brought a tear to my eye (yeah, just the one tear). For those who don't know, RAZORTOOTH is the film produced by Mike Elliott (DEVIL'S REJECTS) written by WEF's own Jack Monroe (Me) & Matt Holly (Him).
But while AFM began as my own pathetic attempt to feel like a celebrity, Wit's End Films C.O.O., Tai Fauci, quickly turned it into a rocking promotional tour. She and fellow Development Executive, Matt Holly, stormed the offices (converted hotel rooms) of every distributor and sales company armed with PITCHFORK promo reels and snazzy WEF business cards designed by our in-house graphics team (Tai Fauci).
I meanwhile wandered the halls sucking Evian and trying not to draw attention to myself. In the celebrity spotting department, we did see David Carradine, Ken Foree, Faye Dunaway, Fred Williamson and cinematopgrapher extraordinaire, Daryn Okada (STICK IT, JUST LIKE HEAVEN). Mr. Holly became chummy with Oscar-nominated DP, Richard H. Kline (KING KONG, BODY HEAT). I had the pleasure of meeting Donald M. Morgan, DP of such visual masterpieces as CHRISTINE and STARMAN. Okay, so if you haven't noticed, we also attended the Cinematographer's Q&A panel.
Overall, AFM was a success. We met a handful of great people (and a few of kooks). We got the WEF name out there. And we have several leads on funding. And RAZORTOOTH was awesome!!! What more could we ask for?
