Thirty-seven is apparently the magical number. At least, that’s how many virius it took for my computer to go completely dead. And two hundred and four must also be a magical number. That’s how many spyware devices were on my hard drive.
It’s been a week since it died, and I’ve finally been able to grab a computer at the public library. Really freaky people come here. Right now, I’m sitting next to some fat guy and some really skinny goth girl. Freaky, freaky, freaky.

-A new review over the "We Are Are Wizards" documentary has been released!

"On Friday, March 14th, I was one of many lucky people to witness a screening of the documentary film We Are Wizards at the music, film, and media festival South By Southwest (SXSW). The fact that I was even living in the same city in which the film premiered felt like a miracle to me. The experience of watching people I knew on the big screen was surreal, especially when I learned things about them I hadn’t known before.
We Are Wizards features a cast of ’wizards’ as well as people of the non-wizard or anti-wizard variety. It is not exclusively about wizard rock or the wizard rock community but rather multiple aspects of the Harry Potter fandom and how it has become something that is amazing and uncommon..."

Wizard Rockumentary, underestimate the amount of wizrock bands, and make a slight mockery of our community. You can listen to an mp3 by visiting this page or directly by clicking here.
-The Pittsburgh Tribune Review wrote about wizard rock from a more knowledgeable perspective, spotlighting an upcoming show featuring
The Remus Lupins. The article mentions Steph from Tonks and the Aurors and Matt from The Whomping Willows.

"The reaction to wizard rock has been really positive... Harry Potter fandom has been a very unique beast from the beginning. I grew up in my parents’ comic book shop being exposed to Star Wars, Star Trek fans, Superman fans. Nothing compares to the level of dedication you get from Harry Potter fans. Combine that with the mania of your favorite band when you’re 16 -- that’s a really potent combination."

-Kristina of
The Parselmouths announced on March 5 that the Hallows and Horcruxes Ball at Kansas State College will be the last show in which she and band mate Brittany perform together as a band.

According to the announcement, "This isn’t really so much of a sad ending, as much as it is more of a new beginning. A Parselmouths Rennaissance, if you will... However, the biggest piece of news that I have to offer is that even though Brittany and I may not be writing new music or playing any more big shows together, the Parselmouths are not dead."

Read the rest of the announcement here.

On March 6,
Kristina posted an addendum to yesterday’s announcement today. She writes,

"Brittany and I had a chat after we started getting comments from you guys, and apparently I seriously, seriously misunderstood her... Our show this Saturday at K State is going to be the last Kristina-Brittany Parselmouth show........ for awhile. But she’s not QUITTING... So really, what I meant was, there wont be any Kristina-Brittany shows in the lineup for a long while. Not forever. We’ve got to get that girl married before she can think about Harry Potter again... So really, it’s more of a Kristina-Brittany Parselmouth hiatus."

The remainder of the addendum can be read in their blog entry.

-Wizrocklopedia staff member Kristen talked to one of our two
