Do you need peace today?

Each of Paul's letters begins with a greetings of peace. Some like this one to the Christians in the Greek city of Thessalonica, end the same way. These words were full of meaning. Paul was reminding the Thessalonians that the Lord, the author of peace, would give his peace always, in every way and under all circumstances. The Thessalonians needed this encouragement badly. They were people who suffered from oppression and persecution, who were confronted with the problem of immorality, who were full of sorrow because of loved ones eho had died, who lived among difficult and pagan people, and who were confronted by false religious teachers and people with warped minds.

Paul's words referre back to the reality of the night in which Christ was born. The Lord who gives peace, because he himself is peace, was born to command peace. It is the same peace of which the Lord later would say to his disciples, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you" (John 14:27). "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).

The Thessalonians claimed this peace, and proved it ot be applicable and sufficient in their varied situations. This peace lifted them above their problems. In spite of pressure and adversity, their faith grew so that they became examples ot others.

Even today we can draw comfort from the experiences of those who have gone before us. We can try to follow their good example, learn not to lose heart, and nurture hope.

Circumstances in the eighties are far from rosy. The world finds itself in chaos. Many a family is in a crisis. The church is often a loss for the right answers. Small wonder that  our hearts lack peace and are full of uncertainty. But in spite of this we can experience the Lord's peace continually, and in every way.

Peace must be practical and practiced! We best begin each new day with God, reading his Word and praying. Then we can think back to this quiet time throughout the day to claim his prace when unrest and discord are knocking at our door. We must remind ourselves that no situation we find ourselves in is beyond that range of God's interest in us.

Until Next Time, Continous Bless, and Praise the Lord!

......................

It’s the first day of Spring of 2009.

What a joy? You and I make it to see this day. This is the
time when things begin to blossom.

Watch this:

Watching these flowers bloom, reminded me of a story when
The Lord, our God chose a priest from the children of Israel. Let’s read this
account in Numbers 17:5-11:

“5 And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I
shall choose
, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the
murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

Do you recall me telling you that you are a priest of a
living tabernacle [your body] (1 Peter 2:5)?
As priest, you are to draw near to God (Exodus 19:22, 24:2, 28:43, 30:20),
and shall blossom for Him (Isaiah 61:6, 11).

You are His walking and talking Garden of Eden. God has appointed
you as ground-keeper, who has priestly duties, to cultivate your praise.

In your praise, you will cease from worrying, murmuring,
complaining, and focus on improving or developing a better relationship with
your Heavenly Father. God will cause righteousness and praise to spring
forth
before all the nations. Why? Because your praise is not for you, but
for someone else. They need to see the glory of God, the goodness of God, and
the strength of God, plus the Lord said, “You shall blossom.”

 6 And Moses spake
unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him
a rod
a piece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses,
even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

God is requiring some from us on a daily basis. Do you know
what that is? Praise and Worship. Do you have a rod of value to give to the
Lord today? Yes you do! It’s called a daily sacrifice of praise.

7 And Moses laid
up the rods before the LORD
in the tabernacle of witness.

“I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name,
O LORD; for it is good.” - Psalm 54:6

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to
God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” -
Hebrews 13:15

 8 And it came to
pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and,
behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth
buds
, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

What “brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded
almonds?” It’s our lips; which bears fruit, because of our praise to God.

 9 And Moses brought
out all the rods
from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they
looked, and took
every man his rod.

When was the last time you made somebody cultured? You
brought forth your blooms of praise? Your joy and gladness that only can come
from God? Others will learn from you, if you sow God’s goodness into their
lives. Believe me. They will take up their rods, and begin to cultivate, just
like you.

 10 And the LORD said
unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept
for a token
against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their
murmurings from me, that they die not.

Because of you, their praise will be a living testimony; proof
and evidence of the living God. Praise is the key to all things. Instead of
worrying, praise! This token will be kept for the next generation.” Choose life
that you and your seed my live (Deuteronomy 30:19).

 11 And Moses did so:
as the LORD commanded him, so did he.”

So do as Moses did, obey His voice, and act on what He said
(Deuteronomy 13:4). Cultivate your Praise!

Spring is Here! Rejoice. Let’s come out of
hiding, develope and nurture somebody in the knowledge of the Lord, your God.
Show them the ways of praise – bloom for Jesus! Show forth your fruit (Matthew
7:16-17) and “Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God;
for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.” - Psalm 147:1

Until next time, continue to be blessed and Praise
the Lord!

Psalm 136

1-3 Thank God! He deserves your thanks. His love never quits.
Thank the God of all gods,
      His love never quits.
Thank the Lord of all lords.
      His love never quits.

 4-22 Thank the miracle-working God,
      His love never quits.
The God whose skill formed the cosmos,
      His love never quits.
The God who laid out earth on ocean foundations,
      His love never quits.
The God who filled the skies with light,
      His love never quits.
The sun to watch over the day,
      His love never quits.
Moon and stars as guardians of the night,
      His love never quits.
The God who struck down the Egyptian firstborn,
      His love never quits.
And rescued Israel from Egypt's oppression,
      His love never quits.
Took Israel in hand with his powerful hand,
      His love never quits.
Split the Red Sea right in half,
      His love never quits.
Led Israel right through the middle,
      His love never quits.
Dumped Pharaoh and his army in the sea,
      His love never quits.
The God who marched his people through the desert,
      His love never quits.
Smashed huge kingdoms right and left,
      His love never quits.
   Struck down the famous kings,
      His love never quits.
   Struck Sihon the Amorite king,
      His love never quits.
   Struck Og the Bashanite king,
      His love never quits.
Then distributed their land as booty,
      His love never quits.
Handed the land over to Israel.
      His love never quits.

23-26 God remembered us when we were down,
      His love never quits.
Rescued us from the trampling boot,
      His love never quits.
Takes care of everyone in time of need.
      His love never quits.
Thank God, who did it all!
      His love never quits!

Sometimes we just need to read the Word of God for ourselves. If you cannot rejoice just from reading it, you need to count your blessing!

Faith in God’s Goodness

Here is a word for you from the Word by Derek Prince.

“Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. NIV

If I were to ask you what’s the most important thing - what’s the thing that’s essential if you are to lead a life that’s pleasing to God, I wonder how you’d answer.

Would you perhaps say: being religious, going to church, giving money to charity, keeping the Golden Rule, abstaining from sins, from immorality, from drunkenness, from things like that. All those things may be good, but none of them is the one essential thing for pleasing God. The one thing that God requires in all of us, the one thing without which we cannot please Him, is faith. And that faith is expressed in two ways.

First of all, we must believe that God exists. Most of us, I suppose, in our hearts, really are aware of that. But beyond that, we have to believe that God rewards those who earnestly seek Him. You see, faith is, ultimately, faith in the goodness of God - in His reliability, in His dependability - and without that faith in God’s goodness we cannot please Him. It begins with believing in God and in His goodness. That is the root and the source of all true success and the life that pleases God.”

I totally agree with Evangelist Price. Our faith is what pleases and moves God’s heart. If you want to please God today, stay in His presence through praise and worship. Develop your faith by clinging to His Word through music, written and audio words, and fellowship with your brother or sister in the Lord.  To have great faith you must BELIEVE THAT HE EXIST and that HE WILL REWARD YOU. Do you remember the Centurion officer? He asked Jesus for just ONE WORD (Matthew 8:5-8)! His faith and the believing in Jesus’ authority made his servant whole. We must do the same; understand the power of the spoken word. Can you agree that it is by faith, we believe and therefore speak?

If you are ready to see the Lord marvel at your reaction, start trusting His word and His promises. If you believe anything that was say to you today, give God you best praise. He is looking toward in telling you about His goodness. Hallelujah!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

It was the week before Christmas I had just finished the household chores for the night and was preparing to go to bed, when I heard a noise in the front of the house.  I opened the door to the front room, and to my surprise, Santa himself stepped out from behind the Christmas tree.  He placed his finger over his mouth so I would not cry out.

"What are you doing?" I started to ask.

The words choked up in my throat, and I saw that he had tears in his eyes.  His usual jolly manner was gone. Gone was the eager, boisterous soul we all know.

He then answered me with a simple statement: "Teach the children!"

I was puzzled, what did he mean?

He anticipated my question, and with one quick movement brought forth a miniature toy bag from behind the tree.  As I stood bewildered, Santa said, "Teach the children.  Teach them the real meaning of Christmas.  The meaning of Christmas that nowadays has been forgotten."

Santa then reached in his bag and pulled out a fir tree and placed it before the mantle.

"Teach the children that the pure green color of the stately fir tree
remains green all year round, depicting the everlasting hope of mankind.  All the needles point heavenward, making it a symbol of man's thoughts turning toward heaven."

He again reached into his bag and pulled out a brilliant star.

"Teach the children that the star was the heavenly sign of promises long ago.  God promised a Savior for the world, and the star was the sign of the fulfillment of His promise."

He then reached into his bag and pulled out a candle.

"Teach the children that the candle symbolizes that Christ is the light of the world, and when we see this great light, we are reminded of He who displaces the darkness."

Once again he reached into his bag and removed a wreath and placed it on the tree.

"Teach the children that the wreath symbolizes the real nature of love Christ showed for us.  Real love never ceases.  Love is one continuous round of affection."

He then pulled from his bag an ornament of himself.

"Teach the children that I, Santa Claus, symbolize the generosity and good will we feel during the month of December."

He then brought out a holly leaf.

"Teach the children that the holly plant represents immortality. It
represents the crown of thorns worn by our Savior.  The red holly berries represent the blood that He shed for us."

Next he pulled from his bag a gift and said, "Teach the children that God so loved the world that whoever believes in Him shall have everlasting life." (John 3:16)  Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift.  Teach the children that the wise men bowed before the Holy Babe and presented Him with gold, frankincense and myrrh.  We should always give gifts in the same spirit of the wise men."

Santa then reached in his bag and pulled out a candy cane and hung it on the tree.

"Teach the children that the candy cane represents the shepherd's crook.  The crook on the staff helps to bring strayed sheep back to the flock.  The candy cane is the symbol that we are our brother's keeper."

He reached in again and pulled out an angel.  "Teach the children that it was the angels that heralded the glorious news of the Savior's birth.  The angels sang 'Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men of good will.'"

Suddenly I heard a soft tinkling sound, and from his bag he pulled out a bell.

"Teach the children that as the lost sheep are found by the sound of the bell, it should bring mankind to the fold.  The bell symbolizes guidance and return."

Santa looked around and was pleased. He looked back at me and I saw that the twinkle was back in his eyes.  He said, "Remember, teach the children the true meaning of Christmas and do not put me in the center for I am but a humble servant of the One that is, and I bow down to worship Him, Our Lord, Our God, and Savior."

Is it Sweet to Trust in Jesus?

The book of Psalms states in the 119 chapter and the 103 verse:

"How sweet  are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!"

In other words, the Lord's words are sweeter than honey!

Do you believe that today?

The Message Bible reads like this: "Your words are so choice, so tasty; I prefer them to the best home cooking." Amen, I agree 100%.

Just think about your favorite meal, and then top it off with your favorite desert – Oh, My…!

The Lord is so sweet!

Do you remember this old hymn?

Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus

If not, let me refresh your memory. Watch this praise song:

Can you just take Him at His word?

Can you rest upon His promise?

It is by grace, you can trust Him.  God is faithful, and Jesus has made that available for all who call upon Him in truth.  The goodness comes when you are protected by Him. Psalm 34:8 states:

"Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him."

"Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good God is. Blessed are you who run to Him (Message Bible Translation)."

O for Grace to trust Him more!

O how sweet to trust in Jesus!

Taste Today and Be Cleanse by the Precious Blood of Jesus!

Discover for yourself that the LORD is nice and caring. Come to Him for safety, and you will be delighted.

Yes, it's sweet to trust in the only Savior of this world, and his name is Jesus Christ!

Until Next Time, Continue to Be Blessed and Praise the Lord!

Happy Thanksgiving!

What are you thankful for?

I know that this is a question that only a few people can answer.

In Psalm 138 shows us the gratitude and thanksgiving that was in David's heart, and should be in every Believer's heart especially toward God, our Creator. However, there are still people who do not give thanks to God and to people who they do see.

Why is this the case?

We have forgotten to give thanks in all things and in every situation? Giving of Thanks, it's not in our feeling, but we are commanded as Saints of God to do so. Let's read Romans 1:20-25:

20 For the invisible things of him [Elohim, God] from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Do you see why you should be making praise and worship a priority in your life? Look at verse 21, they knew God and did not glorified Him as God, neither did they give thanks to Him.

This sounds like the world, but it also sounds like most of our Christian brothers and sisters in the body of Christ. They knew God and His ways, but refuse to do His will; which states, "Let everything that has breathe praise the Lord" (Psalm 34:1).

Verse 22-25, professing themselves to be wise, I know Hebrew and Greek, I speak in tongues and have interpretations, and prophecy. I know God as Father, but became fools. Why? Because they would not give thanks to God, and have changed the glory of God into unclean images of lust from their hearts. They worshipped the unclean image of the opinions more than the Creator, God.

If you are doing anything other than what God called you to do for the kingdom and spending more time with your ministry than God. Guess what? You have changed the glory of God into an unclean image of lust from your heart. You are worshipping your ministry more than the Elohim.

If you read on to verse 32, you will see a list of unrighteousness "who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." I hope you do not take pleasure in such things.

You can get it right today, it's your decision. My job is just to point it out to you, and provoke you to righteous living unto Holiness.

Telling someone that you appreciate them is great to do, but we stop short in developing a daily habit of thanksgiving. We can teach our children to say, "Thank You" when they receive something as good manners every day. It's no different with God, our Father. Do you remember Daniel? He did great in the sight of God, and kept the glory of God as commanded over His life. Let's read it in Daniel 6:10: "Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime."

Daniel developed a daily habit of thanksgiving, at least three times of day. What about you?

In Psalm 119:164 states according to Shin, "Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments." So, how many times a day do you praise the Righteous Judge? Hopefully, at least seven times a day! They are a model of the Old Testament and are there for our learning, but the New Testament states these:

"For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:" -1 Timothy 4:4

"For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God." - 2 Corinthians 4:15

"Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving." -Colossians 2:7

"Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;" -2 Corinthians 9:11-12

"Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." -Philippians 4:6

"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;" - Colossians 4:2

"Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen." - Revelation 7:12

Now there are still some who might say, "How would I know is this God's will to do?" I'm glad you asked this question. Let read 1 Thessalonians 5:18:

"In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Did you get that? Thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live – this is He will!

"Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;" –Ephesians 5:20

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;" – 1 Timothy 2:1

As you can see in the scriptures, you need to develop a habit of thanksgiving toward your fellow man, and especially God your Creator. Glorify His Name, as long as you have breath in your physical body!

Take some time right now…Get up from the computer, lift holy hands to the Lord, and start giving thanks to Him. He is your Lord, your God!

Praise and thanksgiving is due now, later on, tomorrow, and each day!

Psalm of Thanksgiving

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends!

Until next time, continue to be blessed and Praise the Lord!

"He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat." - Proverbs 28:25.

In other words, "A grasping [selfish] person stirs up trouble, but trust in God brings a sense of well-being."

Do not be selfish with your praise. Trust and believe that God will give you an expect end; you can live a full life if you trust the Lord.

Make the decision today!

With God all this are possible! Believe what He said in His Word.

If you believe that today, lift holy hands and praise the Lord your God with all of your heart, body, and soul.

Let us praise God and thank Him for His government; where peace and order reside. As responsible citizens, we will pray, look to our Heavenly Father for our protection.  You and I must trust in His Words.

If that's true for you today, lift your holy hands, without doubting, and begin to praise the Lord like never before – He is Holy!

Holy and Righteous is the Lord our God!

Always look to Him, not the government, for peace and security!

He loves His children and will take good care of them – that's you and I!

Praise the Lord Everyone!

Here is an encouraging word for you from Kim Clement:

Prophesied on October 5, 2008 - Pasadena, California:

"Can You See What I See?"

"When there is judgment," God said, "do you understand that they do not understand the difference between demonic and dynamic?" For God said, "If you can find the dynamic in the demonic, find something that I'm about to do, you will take the spoil on the same force that is coming against you.

"Do you really believe that I cannot deal with the finances of this nation? Do you really believe that I cannot deal with the politics of this nation? Who am I?" says the Spirit of God? "I tell you again, there is a dynamic amongst this demonic force that has come against you." For God said, "Can you see what I see? For if you can, you will find out that those who are with you are far greater than those that are against you."

God says, "Those who are with you are far greater than those who are against you! Therefore, I want you to rejoice and I want you to lift up your voice, and in the presence of your enemy, I want you to give Me praise, for I am the Great Provider, and I'm about to show you what I'm going to do. Therefore, rejoice," says the Lord!

Hallelujah!

Give God Your Best Praise!

Trust in the Lord, and lean not to your own understanding. Don't think about it - just praise Him!

God is a Great Provider - Our Jehovah Jireh!

Continue to be bless and praise the Lord always,

Shelena

God is looking for you to praise Him! The question is- are you going to obey His command? "Let everything…praise the Lord" Amen.

Hallelujah! He is Worthy.

Praise the Lord Everyone,

I have some great news, and not so great news. Which one do you want to hear first? Ok, Ok!! I will tell you about the great news. I have joined a great community called NING.COM, and it does not have any offensive ads or links. As a Christian, I believe that I could find communities that will aloud me to add my own music, video, blog, and more in one location. Ning.com is what I was looking for! You can join with me anytime!

Myspace is a great place, and I thank God for the use of there time and space, but I have decided to be at Ning.com most of my time with my other Worship Basic 101 Members. You can join us at anytime! So, I will only be at Myspace for a very short time each day to post the scriptures at the group, and post when I can – that's my not so great news!

I'm going to miss you, if you do not join Ning.com, and I pray that God will continue to bless you and your family. If joining, I will continue to provoke you to praise and worship the Lord God Almighty with all of your being!

My new daily blog of free music will be at Ning.com
