Saturday night was FUN! At first, the power went out on just our block, so no one could see anything and we couldn't play music, but we just rolled with it and hung out on the sidewalk in front of the store. I went up the block with a couple friends of mine and ate some cheese and salad and drank some wine. Then the power came on around 8:30 and a swarm, probably a hundred people came all at once. So I'll tell you about some of my friends.

Cassie who hasn't gone back to school yet was there with her friends and her boyfriend Jack. He has a football scholarship to Antelope Valley He's half Japanese and adorable but big. Earlier in the day I went to his football game which they won. A bunch of his football player friends were there. She went to Samo so her friends are pretty much ghetto or rich Westside kid wannabes.

Sophia was there with a group of her friends –– all disaffected westsiders that go to exclusive private schools and are all beautiful in their own way, smoke cigarettesto stay painfully thiin, shop at Barney's, clothe in vintage or English rocker, Soho Skater combo looks, and typically don't comb their hair which is long and in thick layers. Nick works for Supreme. Traitor!

We had two D.J.s who played great music like newer electronica stuff mixed with retro tracks like The Commordores and Young M.C. My friend, Danny, a music producer lined up the talent. I talked to him a lot. He wants to do a compilation CD with XLARGE. Everyone was smoking a lot which I don't but I am very much a live and let live person.

I met a great MC, Steve, very zen. I had injured my leg in a skating accident. My friend ran into me from behind and I fell really hard on my leg and tore a ligament. that was about two weeks ago and I'm healing nicely but still limping around and by the end of the day, I'm pretty sore. Anyway, he is a massage therapist in his day job and he was giving me tips to take care of it. We talked about happiness and achieving it and I gave him Abraham Lincoln's quote: "Folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." He loved that as do I. He said he sold his car and bought a bike and now he is much happier becuase most of his angst came from driving.

I talked to my friend, Andrea, who is a fellow artists and did several big brillant pieces for the store. Hayden our store manager did a collab with Ambiguous. Other than that, just a lot of people, partying and having fun.
