Hey friends,

Just added to The Kyle Rae Sweet Benefit Concert - MASS lead vocalist, Louis St. August and guitarist Gene D’Itria.

Boston’s hard rock legends MASS have had numerous accomplishments over the years, but most notably is the selling of over 500,000 albums worldwide!

In 1985, the band was signed to RCA records and released the album, “New Birth.” The single, “Do You Love Me,” was number one for over six weeks at many radio stations along the east coast. The video for that single was also in rotation on MTV and hit Billboard’s charts.

In 1987, MASS was signed to Enigma records and released their album, “Take You Home.” In 1988, MASS released “Voices in the Night,” which was produced by Michael Sweet of Stryper.

In the Spring of 2000, MASS released “Mass Best Ones” on fore reel Records. In 2002, MASS returned to the studio once again with Stryper’s Michael Sweet to record two new songs titled “It’s You” and “Empty Soul”. In 2004, “Empty Soul” was featured on Melodicrock.com compilation CD. In July 2007, MASS released “Crack of Dawn” via Escape Music. Look for a brand new MASS record in 2009!**

(NASHVILLE, TN) -- On Easter Sunday, March 23rd, VH1 Classic and VH1 will air VH1 Classic Presents: Aftermath: The Station Fire Five Years Later, a one-hour special of concert highlights from the benefit concert that was held on February 25, 2008 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The special will air simultaneously on both networks at 10:00 PM EST / PST.

Emmy-nominated composer and musician Marc Bonilla served as music director for the benefit, which included performances by Stryper with Tom Scholz and Gary Phil of Boston, Tesla, John Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Staind's Aaron Lewis, Winger, Twisted Sister, Kevin Max, Carmine Appice's SLAM!, Eric Martin of Mr. Big, Danny Seraphine with CTA, Gary Hoey and others.

The charity event marks the fifth anniversary of the Station Nightclub tragedy in Rhode Island, the fourth largest nightclub fire in U.S. history. 100 lives were lost, 200 others were seriously injured and 65 children lost one or both parents. Five years later, funds available for the survivors are woefully inadequate. Only 15 survivors of the fire qualified for Social Security benefits, and many are still unable to meet their monthly needs.

All proceeds benefit the Station Family Fund, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable organization founded by survivors of the Station Nightclub fire. The Station Family Fund is committed to providing survivor relief, including costs of ongoing treatment and rehabilitation.

"What happened at the Station Nightclub could have happened at any rock venue across the country," said Tom Calderone, Executive Vice President and General Manager, VH1. "We want to help raise awareness of the survivors' challenges to a national level through both VH1 Classic and VH1. We're hoping to tap into that huge community of music lovers and remind everyone about the redemptive power that music, and the great people who make it, can provide.

TOM SCHOLZ, AARON LEWIS (Staind), TWISTED SISTER, TESLA, KEVIN MAX, STRYPER and others scheduled to perform with rock host DEE SNIDER, Monday, February 25, 2008

January 23, 2008. Providence, Rhode Island: John Rich (Big & Rich), Alabama's Randy Owen, Dierks Bentley, Kellie Pickler and Gretchen Wilson have just been added to the Phoenix Rising! Musicians United to Benefit the Victims of the Station Nightclub Fire concert.

As previously announced, Tom Scholz (Boston), Aaron Lewis, Tesla, Twisted Sister, Kevin Max and Stryper are all confirmed to perform Monday, February 25, 2008 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

John Rich will host the country portion of the concert while Dee Snider will do the honors for the rock segments.

Additional confirmed artists include Emmy-nominated composer and musician Marc Bonilla who will serve as music director for the benefit, Carmine Appice's SLAM!, Gary Pihl (Boston), Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Danny Seraphine with CTA, Gary Hoey and others still to be announced.

"Dee Snider of Twisted Sister reached out to me to put together a coalition of country artists to help raise money for the families that have lost their loved ones," commented John Rich. " All of my friends in country music responded immediately with yes. No matter what music you play or listen to we are all one family, and we need to help each other out especially in time of need."

Dee Snider stated, "This event is about music fans desperately in need, so it's important that "Phoenix Rising Musicians United to Benefit the Station Nightclub Fire Victims" be supported by musicians of all genres. We are so happy to welcome John Rich and his rowdy friends aboard for this very important mission."

All proceeds from ticket sales and charity auctions benefit the Station Family Fund, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable organization founded by survivors of the Station Nightclub fire. The Station Family Fund is committed to providing survivor relief, including costs of ongoing treatment and rehabilitation.

Organizers would like to acknowledge the incredible generosity of the Dunkin' Donuts Center www.dunkindonutscenter.com as well as East Coast Lighting, Scorpio Sound, WHJY and the many artists and others who are donating their time in putting together this event.

The Station Family Fund, founded by survivors, family members and community members affected by the fire and the Wake Up To Love Foundation founded by Tesla drummer Troy Luccketta and his wife, Phyllis Luccketta are event organizers. While $100,000.00 was raised in 2005 from a benefit concert featuring Tesla, Shinedown, Pat Travers and Carmine Appice, those funds are in desperate need of replenishing.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

It is with great pleasure to announce that on Saturday April 14th, 2007, Multi-Platinum / Grammy nominated recording artist, Michael Sweet, will be performing an intimate acoustic set at the West Hall @ The United Methodist Church in Woburn, MA. Michael is currently promoting his new solo release, "HIM." As a member of Stryper for more than 20 years, Sweet has enjoyed success in both christian and mainstream markets. Stryper has sold more than 8 million records worldwide, had numerous Top 40 singles and enjoyed great success on MTV. In January of 1992, the band went its separate ways. Sweet went on to release 5 successful solo albums. In 2003, Stryper reformed and released a greatest hits album titled, "Seven - The Best Of Stryper" on Hollywood Records. The band's subsequent tour in support of "Seven" was extremely successful on all accounts, selling out venues across America. In August of 2005, Stryper went on to release their first full length studio album in nearly 15 years, "Reborn" on Big 3 Records. The band went on to tour worldwide in support of the album's release. January 2007 update from Yazzy

What's up, people?? Merry Christmukkah!! Happy Kwaanza! Happy New Year! Did I miss any holidays?? It's been a long a$$ time since I posted a blog. What has everyone been up to lately? Let me give everyone an update on what's been gong on in my life the last few months.

First off, on October 31st 2006, one of my best friends since Junior High and High School Janae and her hubby Pat had a bouncing baby boy, Sean Myer Thompson. He weighed in at 10 lbs 3 ounces. Congrats, Janae-nae and Pat!! I guess I am an honorary "Aunt" now :)

Let's move on to November: I started working in my dad's office in NYC on Monday November 6th. My co-workers are very down to earth and my hours are pretty flexible for now. On November 8th, I saw Queensryche at the State Theater in New Brunswick. What a great show!! Geoff Tate is a genius! Also I got to see my good friend, Michael Newman and catch up with him. He was able to smuggle me up a few rows to his seats right by the stage, right in front of Geoff Tate :) Thanks Michael! On November 14th, Scotty D, Nicole, Stephanie and I saw Steelheart in Hartford, Connecticut. Mike Matijevic sounds just as good as he did back in the day. He can definitely still hit all of those high notes..."I'll never let you gooooooooooooooooooooo!" Got to give Scotty D his belated b-day gifts that nite, one of which was the "American Hair Metal" book. Also in November and part of December, I hung out with Ramone Talarico in NYC and sat in on his voice lessons with TNT singer, Tony Harnell. That was awesome!!!! It was great to finally meet you Ramone after all these years of emailing and chatting. Thanks Tony for letting me sit in on Ramone's lessons! You rock! Thanksgiving was alright. Pretty quiet, which was fine by me

December had it ups and downs. The first week of December, I lost my wallet on the train on the way to work. I had to cancel my credit card, atm card and all that fun stuff. Had to get a new license and insurance card too. It sucked, but I guess it could have been worse. The next week, I got to see the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller center with Scotty D, Rob Wylde and Leigh Ann in NYC. We also got to experience the Charmin bathrooms right by the Virgin Megastore. That was definitely interesting to say the least. Took a great picture that night :) On December 14th, my cousin Sherry and her husband had a baby girl, Amaani. She is very cute. Sunday December 17th was a blast. My friend Liz threw her annual Holiday party. Great friends (Liz, Frank, Janae, Pat, baby Sean, DJ Dana, Xan, Greg, and Josh), great food and too many glasses of wine for me. Liz made a great Berry Martini too. We watched a video of her Sweet 16 party. How embarrassing and hilarious!! On December 22nd, Scotty D and I headed to Connecticut to see Warrant at the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun. We ended up selling merch for them that night. Thanks Erik, Jerry, Jaime, Joey and Steven! My Christmas was alright, quiet, just how I like it. Right before NYE, my car stalled at the train station on my way home from work. It was pretty freakin' cold and windy that day. Not the best night to be waiting outside for a tow truck. Right after New Year's, the dealership told me it was my key that was the problem so I had to order a new one. Anyone want to guess how much a new key costs?? Anyone?? No guesses?? Here's how much it costs: 165 bucks!! Grrrrr!! I spent NYE with Scotty D, Rob Wylde and Leigh Ann. I drove the loaner car up to Massachusettes since mine was at the dealership. The car kept pulling to one side for most of the ride up on I-95, which completely freaked me out. Luckily Scotty D drove the rest of the weekend. Thanks Scotty! Scotty D and I picked up Rob Wylde from the airport, met up with Leigh Ann and headed up to New Hampshire in a mini snow storm. Overall, NYE weekend was fun, great friends (minus "the downer"), great food and lots of drinks. When I say drinks, I mean water of course ;)

Here I am now on Sunday January 7th writing this blog and watching The Apprentice on NBC in the background. So that's my long January 2007 update. Sorry if I left anything out. Gotta run. It's my exercise time. Gotta shed those holiday pounds.

Catch everyone later. Hope you all have a grrrreat 2007!! One more thing, Congrats soon-to-be Mommy Judy and Daddy Chris!! See you at Winger in February!

~Yasmine~ p.s. Pick up the Daughtry cd. Best cd of the year!!
