Ok so,
I'm sorry to say that Your Arch Enemies are no more. Unfortunately, as it stands there is no way of us moving forward. We have had a blast over the last few years but I suppose that everything must run it's course and now is our time to bow out. We loved the time that spent together. Some sacrifices were made that no one should have to make and a lot of commitment went in.
In the end the four of us we're too similar, too laid back. Every band needs a driving force and while we had that musically in other aspects we didn't. When we needed to push for things we didn't and while we all said we'd start at some point or other that never happened.
In the end it's sad but it's also exciting and at least we leave as friends.
Anyway thank you if you've helped along the way. Especially I'd like to thank Zealots and The Minutes for everything.
The other lads might have more to say but from me that's all.
Thanks, Conor

Saturday night we play a set with a difference in the Cobblestone. It'll be us + We have a 6 song set all new (or new versions). And we'll be accompanied by 5 extra heads... Dan (guitar) and Ruth (keyboards) from Zealots, Sein (clarinet) from The Candidates Mark (mandolin) and Eimear (violin) from The International Sunday Session.
Stall it down if you're around. We're looking forward to it. Gives us a chance to try out some of the songs that we otherwise never get to play.
See yiz there.

Thank YOU!We'd just like to say a big thanks to everybody who bought and downloaded Step Up. It made number 39 in the Irish Charts and was number 1 download from www.downloadmusic.ie. We're a bit sickened to be honest because it looks like we may have chosen a bad time of the year to release it (same amount of single sales at another time of year would have put us top 20 at least) but... you live and learn and then you die.On the bright side we are now officially better at music than Guns & Roses, Razorlight & Coldplay, but not as good as Keane.
We want to thank Tommy Hynes for all the work he put into this. If you were drinking in Whelans over the week you'll probably have run into him and Dar. Also thanks go out to Noel and Ruth and Colm, and Rob who made the video.
We're going to do it all again in early February or late January (Renegades we think) so we'll be pestering you a bit more then.
Huzzah, Your Arch Enemies

Dear Friends and Enemies, Like true Celtic Tiger Babies we've got to beat this recession the only way we know how - buy spending our way of it. At €1 our new single is very cheap... which means you're going to have to buy an awful lot of them to make any difference to the economy whatsoever. Now we all know chart fraud is illegal, but what can i say, i'm a patriot and i'm gonna take a bullet for this country and hope for number one. Heres how your do it. 1. Text music 1862 to 57501 2. Within a minute you will receive a text back with a username and pin number 3. Go to www.downloadmusic.ie and enter your mobile number and the pin number you received by text 4. Click the download button and save ‘Step Up’ to your computer This transaction will cost you €1 which will be taken from your phone credit or charged to your next phone bill. You can also download ‘Step Up’ using your credit card on the same site by creating an account the same way you would on itunes. You can of course use the downloadmusic.ie application on our profile page also. Remember, anything less than 10 copies and you can't consider yourself truly Irish Yours Lovingly... We won't be rehearsing or playing any gigs for the next few weeks because of one of the following: -- Conor, an American citizen, has been drafted into the US Army and sent to Milan to fight in the war on fashion. -- Dara is going into hospital for laser eye surgery, after which he will be able to shoot lasers from his eyes. -- Damien has been killed, having unintentionally taken part in a bar fight. -- John sucessfully jumped through a rolling hula-hoop only to run into a wall, injuring his elbow and rendering him incapable of playing the drums. The first person to answer correctly wins this!

We've put up three new songs to replace the crusty ones that were there already. They are: Anna OK Figure of Eight Marie You'll notice that they're not available for download. That is because we're releasing them as part of an EP soon. We want to at least pretend that we're trying to re-coup the money we've spent on the thing. What are you going to do about it, tough guy?If the mood strikes you there are a few older recordings that can be downloaded here: http://www.mediafire.com/?mgciznxtlgz To extract the songs you need Winzip or Winrar. You can get winrar here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

We are a lazy and unmotivated bunch. Since being evicted from our old practice room we have got together 3 maybe 4 times. It's not that we don't like each other or like playing it's just that sometimes we like sitting on couches drinking more. We've had six songs recorded since March, a video finished since the end of the summer and a set that has not changed for the last year. All of these things are hanging over our heads. I think it's time for a change of pace. After the gig with The Blood Red Shoes and The Minutes we'll take a break from playing live and get some new tunes together, release the songs, get the video out there and pull our heads out of our holes. But taking everything above into account this could all be idle speculation. Cheers.
