Hello all!

I haven't been on myspace much because I've been focusing on my fiction writing as well as nonfiction. Got a nonfic article on spec and have some manuscripts underway plus the one I'm finishing up to send to my agent.

I just didn't want everyone to think I'd fogotten them or had abandoned my site. I haven't, just been super busy. We've been battling some viruses of late, too, and I've been worried about my 61-year-old mom who was diagnosed with H1N1 and asthma. I'm  happy to say she's whipping the flu, tho.

You can always drop me a note here. I'll reply, but it might take me a few days. I've only been checking my myspace about once a week.

More later!

I've been waiting for ages for the reviews of the next two installments of Bedevilled (now available in one volume) and so I decided to go to Two Lips Reviews to check and reviews for books 3 and 4 are posted. My spam filter must've ate the notification emails.

I'm over the moon with the reviewer's thoughts on the ending two books.

Book 3's is here:
http://www.twolipsreviews...com/content/index.php?opti..on=com_content&task=view&i..d=2409&Itemid=36

Book 4's is here:
http://www.twolipsreviews...com/content/index.php?opti..on=com_content&task=view&i..d=2679&Itemid=36

Regarding the reviewer's comment about the ending...I left the fourth book open to possibly write more of Dean's adventures, but just haven't had time, lol. Oddly enough, I was lying in bed this morn around 4:30 thinking that I might write a few more books as J. Emberglass, lol.

Here's the link to the book for those interested:

It doesn't take much to amuse me. And it certainly doesn't take a lot to cheer me up anymore, lol.

Got a few li'l cheer-me-ups over the weekend.

Take a look at the #1 book on this publisher's page of All Romance eBooks:
http://www.allromanceebooks.com/category0.html?sortBy=bestSelling&searchBy=publisher&qString=Freya's%20Bower It may now be a free read, but readers are downloading it, so since it's the prequel to the Daughters of Trinity Series, we'll see what happens.

I also got one hell of a review for my last release. Click on Dark Diva's Review graphic. It'll take you straight to the review.
http://faithbicknellbrown.com/books/atasteofecstasy/ A 5 rating AND a Recommended Read!

I discovered that Bedevilled is #2 today at fictionwise's Freya's Bower page too.

Oh, and Conspiracy of Angels got this:
http://theromancestudio.com/reviews/reviews/conspiracyangelshope.htm

After the last 8 months of one crummy thing after another hitting me or my family, these li'l tidbits helped raise my spirits, so I just wanted to share.

I'll blog again soon!

What is it about children that always seem to keep excitement or chaos going in a parent's life? I get tons of inspiration from my kids for scenes in my novels. One novel has a heroine with two children, a boy who's in his early teens and a girl of five. Another novel has the heroine trying to find her grown daughter who disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

I have four under my roof who are mine, and two older stepsons. The other day I vacuumed the kitchen-well, I tried to vacuum it. I purchased a new sweeper last year that cost about $200. After about a month, I began having trouble with it. Actually, I have horrible luck with sweepers; it seems that I'm always blowing up the motors or the belts keep breaking. So, we picked up an old Kirby at a yard sale as a backup.

killer vacuum Pictures, Images and PhotosEvery time I tried to use the new vacuum I'd always end up getting the Kirby out, the old reliable dinosaur. Sometimes the new sweeper would work, but most of the time it blew dust everywhere making me cuss and choke at the same time.

Back to the kitchen...I'm vacuuming and dust blows out everywhere. Muttering expletives under my breath, I pulled the hose lose for the millionth time. I turned the sweeper upside down and looked for hairballs, wads of paper, etc., that my kids are notorious for sucking up when they sweep. I yanked a monstrous dust bunny from the opening by the spindle, turned the sweeper on, and even more dust flew out.

Furious, I performed the same checks again. Then I spotted it. A wad of debris was wedged against the hole that deposits the dirt into the hepifilter (sp?) thingamajig. I found a Phillips screwdriver, disconnected the hose, and pulled about 8 inches of compacted dust and hair out of it. But something kept sliding back and forth in the tube. Upending it, I dumped a Hotwheels car out onto the floor.

"Hey," my four year old yelled. "I've been looking for that car forever!"

Yeah. Lots of story fodder for my stories.

So, I put the sweeper tube back on, screwed the screws down tight, turned it on-the motor squealed and blew up. Which was followed by the handle breaking in two.

Thank God for the Kirby!

Maybe I'll buy an Oreck or one of those Dyson Ball vacuums with my next royalty check, lol.

Vega has a problem: she's from the Lyra Constellation. Her appearance is so exotic that men find her lavender hair, pale blue eyes and snowy skin both alluring and frightening. However, when Dietrich Raze, one of the top ten wealthiest men in the Three Worlds, can't seem to stay away from her, Vega falls head over heels. But is his interest real, or is he using her to dispute some wild rumors that might prove he isn't what he seems?

~

A piece of an ice cube shot out of Kazzi’s mouth. It struck Vega on the forehead. Frowning, Vega wiped drops of soda and water from her face.

“What the—?”

“Turn around,” Kazzi whispered, half-coughing, as she wiped liquid from her mouth, “but don’t make a big scene.”

Vega uncrossed and re-crossed her legs in an attempt to shift her position and nonchalantly glance around Pinnacle Restaurant. The picture windows offered a spectacular view. Miles of city sprawled below the restaurant, and air cars zipped by in the distance. Waitresses strode from table to table, their serving trays floating along behind them.

“Not over there,” Kazzi said. “To the left of the hostess station.”

Spotting the man who had captured Kazzi’s attention, Vega’s mouth dropped open. She didn’t want to seem rude by staring at him like every other woman—and a few men—were doing, but she couldn’t help but stare...and salivate.

“Well,” Kazzi whispered louder, “he’s worth being shot by an ice cube, isn’t he?” Her soft laughter punctuated her question.

“I...I...”

Kazzi’s chuckles grew louder. “Breathe, Vega, breathe.”

Vega sucked in a startled breath. “Mr. Stafford’s with him, and he just pointed at us! He’s bringing him this way!”

“Good. Now I can check that guy out in person. If he looks that good from a distance, I bet I’ll have an orgasm looking at him up close!”

Facing Kazzi, Vega pleaded, “For God’s sake, don’t embarrass me!”

“Oh, will you lighten up?” her friend retorted. With her attention still on the spectacular man crossing the restaurant, Kazzi’s dark eyes practically glowed with anticipation. “Do you remember last Monday when Mr. Stafford told us that the company had hired a new accounting firm to straighten out the mess that the last accounting team created? I bet that’s who Mr. Delicious is, and we get to work with him for the next few days.”

Vega leaned across her salad plate. “That doesn’t mean you can slobber on him all week,” she said, her voice low, “and expect me to pick up your slack. You do it every time a new guy is hired.”

Kazzi’s gaze shifted from their boss and the newcomer to Vega’s face. A deep dimple appeared high on her left mocha cheek. “Don’t worry,” she wiggled on her chair and waved one hand around herself, “with this body, I’ll knock him off his feet so fast he won’t know what hit him.”

“Remember what happened the last time Mr. Stafford heard you were screwing a co-worker,” warned Vega. She sat back and smoothed her luminescent skirt over her thighs. “You nearly lost your job over that one.”

Hello everyone!

The Lori Foster Get-Together was a blast! If you'd like to see some of the photos of it, go to the blog on my website
www.faithbicknellbrown.com and check them out.

Also, I'll be around more to chat, visit, blog, etc. I decided that the only way to succeed with my career and move forward was to resign from Red Rose Publishing and focus solely on my writing. I have so many WIPs that I'll be busy for quite some time. Honestly, this is a very liberating feeling. I'm also returning to print magazine submissions and ezines. I already have a few subs out now.

Stay tuned!
