Vega has a problem: she's from the Lyra Constellation. Her appearance is so exotic that men find her lavender hair, pale blue eyes and snowy skin both alluring and frightening. However, when Dietrich Raze, one of the top ten wealthiest men in the Three Worlds, can't seem to stay away from her, Vega falls head over heels. But is his interest real, or is he using her to dispute some wild rumors that might prove he isn't what he seems?

A piece of an ice cube shot out of Kazzi’s mouth. It struck Vega on the forehead. Frowning, Vega wiped drops of soda and water from her face.
“What the—?”
“Turn around,” Kazzi whispered, half-coughing, as she wiped liquid from her mouth, “but don’t make a big scene.”
Vega uncrossed and re-crossed her legs in an attempt to shift her position and nonchalantly glance around Pinnacle Restaurant. The picture windows offered a spectacular view. Miles of city sprawled below the restaurant, and air cars zipped by in the distance. Waitresses strode from table to table, their serving trays floating along behind them.
“Not over there,” Kazzi said. “To the left of the hostess station.”
Spotting the man who had captured Kazzi’s attention, Vega’s mouth dropped open. She didn’t want to seem rude by staring at him like every other woman—and a few men—were doing, but she couldn’t help but stare...and salivate.
“Well,” Kazzi whispered louder, “he’s worth being shot by an ice cube, isn’t he?” Her soft laughter punctuated her question.
“I...I...”
Kazzi’s chuckles grew louder. “Breathe, Vega, breathe.”
Vega sucked in a startled breath. “Mr. Stafford’s with him, and he just pointed at us! He’s bringing him this way!”
“Good. Now I can check that guy out in person. If he looks that good from a distance, I bet I’ll have an orgasm looking at him up close!”
Facing Kazzi, Vega pleaded, “For God’s sake, don’t embarrass me!”
“Oh, will you lighten up?” her friend retorted. With her attention still on the spectacular man crossing the restaurant, Kazzi’s dark eyes practically glowed with anticipation. “Do you remember last Monday when Mr. Stafford told us that the company had hired a new accounting firm to straighten out the mess that the last accounting team created? I bet that’s who Mr. Delicious is, and we get to work with him for the next few days.”
Vega leaned across her salad plate. “That doesn’t mean you can slobber on him all week,” she said, her voice low, “and expect me to pick up your slack. You do it every time a new guy is hired.”
Kazzi’s gaze shifted from their boss and the newcomer to Vega’s face. A deep dimple appeared high on her left mocha cheek. “Don’t worry,” she wiggled on her chair and waved one hand around herself, “with this body, I’ll knock him off his feet so fast he won’t know what hit him.”
“Remember what happened the last time Mr. Stafford heard you were screwing a co-worker,” warned Vega. She sat back and smoothed her luminescent skirt over her thighs. “You nearly lost your job over that one.”
