NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINE TOUR: 'Tyrants of Evil' Tour to kick off in 2010!
Arch Enemy has announced the dates for their ‘Tyrants of Evil’ headlining tour, which will shred across North America in early 2010. Bay Area Thrashers Exodus will accompany Arch Enemy. Arsis and Mutiny Within will round out the impressive line up. This is the first Arch Enemy US & Canada headline tour in support of their latest release, The Root of All Evil, which hit stores last week (released via Century Media Records).
Arch Enemy vocalist Angela Gossow issued the following statement:
"Hells Yes! We are more then ready to return to the US and Canada for a
head banging and neck breaking tour experience! Totally stoked about the
killer package - Arch Enemy, Exodus, Arsis and Mutiny Within. We personally handpicked these bands for you! A full on extreme, versatile and so very METAL line-up. You will be hurting in a good
way after we have been through town! The Tyrants Of Evil are ready to kill!!!"
Gary Holt, guitarist & songwriter for Bay Area thrash metal progenitors EXODUS, checks in on the upcoming North American blitz from somewhere between Colombia and Venezuela while on the band’s South American tour:

The Metal Female Voices Festival ran an open poll for fans to vote in 10 different categories. Apparently I was nominated (didnt know about it at all) and won in the category 'most beautiful opera voice'... hahaha.. not!
Ok - I won in the category 'Best Growls & Grunts'.. oh yeah. No kidding.
I am not very much into this sort of thing - unless it's something real. And this one actually comes straight from metal fans and not some old fart poser jury.. That shit rocks!
The lovely folks from the MFV festival gave us a surprise visit at the Mass Deathtruction Festival in Belgium we just played this weekend to present me with this impressive award. It is very heavy and I could easily kill a person or two with it. I might make good use of this some day. hehe.

Arch Enemy have released the first music video from their new album 'The Root of All Evil'. The brand new video for the track, “Beast of Man”, can be viewed exclusively at MetalSucks.net, now through Saturday, October 3rd. The video for “Beast of Man” was filmed by RGKP Videoproduktion, and was shot this past summer at Germany’s Rock Harz Festival.
“Beast of Man” was also the first song to be revealed from the 'The Root of All Evil' album - out now! (released in the US next week, on October 6th, through Century Media Records).
“Beast of Man” as well as another track from 'The Root of All Evil', “Bury Me An Angel”, can be heard on the official Arch Enemy MySpace page
And if that isn’t enough, Arch Enemy has teamed up with GuitarWorld.com to offer free download of the track “Pilgrim” (http://www.guitarworld.com/ae-pilgrim).
The Root of All Evil is a collection of rerecorded Arch Enemy classics, taken from the band’s first three studio albums, reenergized by the current Arch Enemy line up. “Beast of Man” was originally recorded for the 1998 release Stigmata. It contains a selection of completely re-recorded tracks from the band’s first three albums “Black Earth” (1996), “Stigmata” (1998) and “Burning Bridges” (1999), reenergized and upgraded by the band’s definitive line-up!
