MetalSucks.net released the goods on the four-band "Tyrants Of Evil" tour bill that metal fans are calling a “dream come true.”

ARSIS - ENTER THE STUDIO

James Malone, guitarist/vocalist for Virginia’s melodic/technical death metal band ARSIS shares this update from Planet Z Studios in Massachusetts on their fourth studio album, Starve For The Devil:

"Everything I have been working towards over the past year has become a reality; we are making the ARSIS album that I have always wanted to make.  We starting tracking drums yesterday and everything sounds amazing.  Mike Van Dyne's playing just fits the songs so well, and it is great to be recording with one of my best friends again.  I can honestly say that I have not been this happy in a long time.  If the past few days are any indication of how the rest of the recording is going to go, then I feel certain that this will be our best work yet."

Music for Starve For The Devil is being recorded with producer Zeuss (Municipal Waste, Agnostic Front, Hatebreed).  Artist Mark Riddick will be providing his trademarked meticulous and grotesque artwork for the upcoming release.

Performing on the album will be: James Malone – Guitars/Vocals; Mike Van Dyne – Drums; Nick Cordle – Guitars; Bassist Nathaniel Carter.

ARSIS - ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM TITLE

Starve For The Devil will be the name of the fourth studio album from Virginia’s melodic/technical death metal band ARSIS.

This release will mark the return of founding member/drummer Michael Van Dyne, who states:

"The new ARSIS record is coming along great - we have eleven new original songs nearly completed, as well as a cover song which will probably be used as a bonus track. Recording this album should be a blast, and the fact that we'll be working with one of the world's top metal producers will only make the experience that much cooler."

New material will be recorded this fall with producer Zeuss (Municipal Waste, Agnostic Front, Hatebreed) at Planet Z Studios in Massachusetts.  Artist Mark Riddick will provide his trademarked meticulous and grotesque artwork.

Guitarist/singer Jim Malone shares the following:

"For the past six months we have been writing songs for Starve For The Devil, and I must say that I am more than pleased with the way things are going.

Mike Van Dyne and I rehearsed this past weekend; it was the first time we have played together in over two and a half years. The rehearsal went amazing; he has really done the songs justice.

Look for Starve For The Devil to be released early next year and be sure to check us out on the Neckbreakers Ball European Tour in October.  We will be supporting Behemoth and Devildriver and it should be, well, good times."

ARSIS: ORIGINAL DRUMMER MIKE VANDYNE RETURNS TO LINE-UP

Original drummer and founding member of ARSIS Michael VanDyne - who played on the band’s 2004 highly praised debut album, A Celebration Of Guilt, 2005’s A Diamond For Disease EP, and 2006’s United In Regret - has officially returned to the band’s line-up.

VanDyne has this to say about his homecoming:

"I'm looking forward to working with my friend Jim again, as well as the great people at Nuclear Blast. Judging by the new material that [guitarist/singer] Jim [Malone] and [guitarist] Nick [Cordle] have been working on, I think we may be sitting on some of the most memorable and thrashy ARSIS material written to date. Due to obligations with my full-time career, session drummers will most likely be utilized for big tours that Jim wishes to do in the future... However, regional shows and occasional mini-tours or festival gigs either here in North America or overseas are a definite possibility (and something I'd be totally psyched to do) if our collective schedules allow it.  Good times."

Jim Malone offers the following statement:

"I can't say how excited I am to be working Mike Van Dyne again; ARSIS would have never existed in the first place had it not been for him and his motivation. It's very hard to find people to work with that you can connect both as musicians and as friends.  Mike has always been both of these.  I can't wait to start demoing some new material with Mike and Nick.  While [drummer] David Kinkade did a great/good job for ARSIS and he may still play live with us from time to time,  I can't pass up the opportunity to work with Mike Van Dyne again.   I have the a feeling the vibe will be amazing and feel confident that we’ll make ARSIS stronger and better than ever.  We have the best fans in the world behind us and they deserve the best we have to offer!"

ARSIS GUITARIST EXPLAINS TOUR CANCELLATIONS

ARSIS guitarist Jim Malone has sent in this update:

"I owe more than a few people an apology at this time.

Over the past few months ARSIS has had to drop off two tours and the fault lies on my shoulders.  Those who know me know that moderation is a concept that I am not familiar with. Ever since my late teens, I have moved from one self-destructive behavior to another and it has finally taken its toll on my body and mind.  I seem to take everything I do to an unhealthy extreme.  This leads us to the reason for dropping off tours with both The Faceless and Carcass.

Without going into too many details, let’s just say that there is no healthy way lose 100 pounds in 4 months, as I did late last year.  To say that I have been dealing with some issues would be an understatement.  These issues have not only affected the basic functions of my body, but also my mood and ability to make rational decisions. Fortunately, I have many supportive people in my life and I have been taking strides to get things back under control.  I have been making my best effort as of late and I feel stronger everyday.  I think I will come out this a wiser person and be able to run my life better than ever.

Look for ARSIS to be back on the road soon with a possible headliner to make up for lost time.  My apologies to our booking agent, our record label, our fans, and anyone who has been effected by my poor decisions."

Fans are encouraged to post messages of support at the bands MySpace page.

Drummer David Kinkade (ARSIS, BORKNAGAR, MALEVOLENT CREATION, DIVINE EMPIRE, COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN) has issued the following update:

"I regret to inform everyone that ARSIS will NOT be on the CARCASS tour [also featuring SUICIDE SILENCE, SAMAEL and PSYCROPTIC] scheduled to kick off in Philadelphia on the 13th of March. This is due to situations in ARSIS that are out of my hands.

I do not feel that it is my place to go into specific reasons and/or details leading up to this decision, but being the drummer of ARSIS, it is in my best interest to NOT keep the fans in the dark. There are major personal and communication issues in this band that need be resolved before anything can continue as ARSIS. I will leave it at that. Again, my apologies to the fans, the other bands on the bill and everyone who worked so hard to put this together."

ARSIS TO LAUNCH VERY FIRST EUROPEAN TOUR WITH NEW MEMBERS!

"There is a lot going on in the land of ARSIS these days," states the band's founding member / guitarist / lead vocalist Jim Malone.

"For starters, we will be heading overseas in a few weeks for our first European tour ever where we have the pleasure of sharing the stage with Morbid Angel, Kataklysm, Marduk, and Keep of Kalessin.  We are all so excited for this!

Since the departure of Noah Martin from the band, we have been performing with a new bassist named Nick Cordle.  I can not say enough good things about Nick; he is truly an amazing musician.  Aside from being a great bassist, he fucking rips on guitar.  He is without a doubt one of the best musicians I have ever had a chance to play with.

We would also like to thank Shawn Priest for playing drums with us for the past four months and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.  Starting with the European tour, we will be working with drummer David Kinkade, formerly of Malevolent Creation and Divine Empire.  David also plays drums in Borknagar and I feel that we'll be working with him for a long time.  He is one the most 'real' people that I have ever met.  Look for ARSIS on a headlining tour of The States in the late winter.  Hope to see you at a show!"

Drummer David Kinkade comments on his joining the band:

"I am very excited to join the ranks of ARSIS. James, Ryan and I have many of the same influences and goals in what we want out of a band and in our overall drive for music. The tunes are fun to play and I can't wait to see what the future brings with these phenomenal musicians. The set list is sounding sick at rehearsal and I trust that the upcoming tour, being ARSIS' European debut, will CRUSH Europe.  As posted last week, I have also joined Borknagar as the new full-time drummer. Neither of the obligations in both bands will interfere with each other. Just expect a lot of activity on my end in these next few months.  See you all on tour."

Bassist Nick Cordle adds:

"It's a huge honor and thrill to join ARSIS!  The shows so far have been a pretty damn good time and it's a great privilege to play & hang with James, Ryan, and David.  ARSIS have been a favorite band of mine for many years now and to be able to play a role in its future is quite excellent.  I'm drawing a huge amount of energy from the atmosphere in the band both musically and personally -- we are deadly focused and out for blood!  The European tour is going to be truly wicked!"
