Next In Row
Innocence proved only show Signs all read, devoured slow Blindness faked in vivid world Transparent mask upon girl Lessons taught through history Feed a mind; no mystery Smiling they stand in a row Quicker falls each domino Dots differ, number equal Movie seen, view now sequel Requiring a kind of deep Company chosen just can't keep Passion needy, no supply Beg for feeding, be denied Lustful, must be an illusion Fear assuming such conclusion In war of pride; will not fight Falseness seeming out of sight Forgive yet never forget Take until point no regret Smile and curtsy, no more show Fully discovered, "next in row"

Vacant Hole Memories fill this vacant hole A lonely corridor
Once full of flowers Tirelessly planted by your seed Irrigated with your scent Your aroma capsized me Encapsulated my morals I offered them to you within a gelatin case Needing you to break inside
I begged you to enter To consume each with a desperate force The potent medication sedated you And you lovingly slept within walls That once stood painted with your artistic touch Now left hopelessly naked of your graffiti
Sometimes When I close my eyes I blindly search the barren hallways Of a space once illuminated with your scent Now dark
Void of your passionate color Pleasure is felt But only as faint
As the memories
That fill this vacant hole

Fantasy life was assumed but not found Fate lives in a casket locked up underground Blocked By The Pain Of Memories That Surpassed The future desired lives far in the past True love was murdered by untimely lust Destiny whispers to hope in disgust The world does spin but it’s no longer round Endless the dirt in hearts burial ground Breath is still forced and without hesitation Through doors that don’t offer the gift of rotation Whirlwind is the brain that can’t find its fate Got confused by directions and showed up too late Exits are dirt filled and one way is each street Hope dies when it reaches dead end of defeat The purpose of life until death is just sorrow Empty was the corpse that lived life in tomorrow -- Audrey Michelle

I began running this competition almost 4 years ago. Over time changes have been made, rules added....
THE COMPETITION WAS MEANT TO UPHOLD INTEGRITY!
This contest was created to:
To allow poets a place to feel comfortable writing within the genre of erotica (anonymous)
To offer new writers a chance to compete on an equal level against well known writers (not a popularity contest)
For seasoned writers to gain further online exposure
There have been many occasions in which writers were caught cheating and/or plagiarizing. This last competition proves beyond a doubt that the contest no longer presents the ideal intended and I, therefore, will no longer be hosting it.
Though I am proud of the competitions growth through time, I am sad to say that 14 poems have been disqualified and 7 writers have been banned over time. However, this antics of this competition when too far.... To terrorize a writer and/or attempt to blacken their name as classifying them as a cheater with no "rhyme" or reason is a disgrace.
I am sorry to Fiona for the comment placed on the finals blog. Since the commenter has since deleted him/herself from MySpace I must assume that the profile was created to purposely offend a well respected and talented writer.
Fiona has chosen to withdraw from the competition however I refuse to allow her to. Sorry Fiona :)
There was a tie for first place in this competition, congrats to both Fiona and Easy Rog. Both Fiona and Roger have placed in prior contests and both are amazing writers. Their work speaks for itself.
I know all four of the finalists very well. Integrity is everything to me and I am certain that none of the four winners would ever consider cheating.
Though I place my name behind them but no longer behind the competition in general.
The coding for all banners is available at the bottom of this blog along with a list of all past winners.

Men's and Women's Erotic Poetry Competition!
Thanks for my beautiful graphic Rayne!

Thanks for my beautiful banner Jason!
You MUST enter by Sunday, August 9th at 11:59 p.m. (PCT).
Submissions will be due by Sunday, August 16th at 11:59 p.m. (PCT).
-- Submissions should be emailed to me at eroticwritingcompetition@yahoo.com. Submissions should be titled 'My Submission'. PLEASE INCLUDE TITLES as many forget.
-- I will not read any of the writings prior to the contest, so please do not ask me to. As much as possible I try to avoid knowing the author of each piece.
The first blog with submissions will be available Monday the 17th - for approximately 24 hours. There will be approximately 8 writings posted each night. Readers will vote by comment on each blog. The top submission each night will compete on the final evening. The top three poems on the last evening will be the winners of the competition.
I am no longer accepting short stories (unless they are just a few paragraphs) they don't win because people don't take the time to read them - it's hard with 8 submissions to read.
This contest is meant to be one where cheating does not exist, however, so many have been caught cheating and disqualified. All the people that were caught cheating were caught by other writers/readers. Please help keep the integrity of the contest by informing me right away if you know someone is attempting to cheat.
Rules (STRICTLY ENFORCED):
This is NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST - all rules are written in an attempt to enforce that. This contest is designed to ensure that unknown writers have the same chance of winning as popular writers.
-- This contest is for new writings only. No REPOSTS.
-- The poems will not have photos or names with them.
-- No one in the contest may post their submission in their blogs before or during the competition. Even if they have been cut out already. If people start eliminating themselves, it will be easier to guess who is still in the competition.
-- Any writing submitted should not be in a style that will aid readers in identifying its author.
-- All writers should attempt to promote and vote each night the contest runs, even if their poem has already been posted.
Additionally:
-- All writers must help promote this contest.
Though everyone will know who is participating in the contest no one will know who wrote what. Only the names of the finalists will be exposed. That will limit the worry of everyone knowing who came in which place. There will be many people that won't win and nobody will know who finished in what place.
Anyone competing or interested in judging this competition - please subscribe to my blog by clicking on my subscription button (created by Oral Probe - Jason Tucker) below to get any updates or contest information: (THE LINK TO SUBSCRIBE ON THE BLOG PAGE OR THROUGH MY BANNER SEEMS TO BE DISABLED. COMMENT HERE AND i WILL MAKE A LIST OF ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SO THAT I CAN COMMENT THEM TO UPDATE!!!)

Everyone will be able to judge through commenting on the blog - they will just need to read and select their favorite.
Please leave the information on how you found out about this contest in your comments!!!
Any questions MUST be asked by comment. Do not message me for two reasons. These contests keep me really busy. I don't get to my mail as often as I'd like. Additionally, many will have the same questions so it helps to only answer them once.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ EVERYTHING ON THIS PAGE. IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE OF THE LAW. :)

Codependency is generally seen as secondary to the addiction of another. In actuality, it is an addiction in itself.
Codependency is the addiction to another person; the compulsive need to control that part of their life that is out-of-control. **
As others fill the emptiness inside them with chemicals. Codependents self-medicate themselves with the problems of another. By concentrating on "saving" another, we avoid dealing with our own issues.
Through research and education I have concocted a list of characteristics that I believe help to identify a Codependent:
- We are addicted to proving our worth to those who will not realize it (This one I associate with the most)
- Consider ourselves victims
- Consider our partners victims
- Naturally drawn to those in need
- Consider ourselves worthless if we are unneeded or unable to control anothers behavior
** Ballis, Tab. Cape Fear Healthy Minds. August 14, 1993.
