Well, well, well... I can't believe that 10 years ago, I'd moved in with Nail and we'd embarked upon such a fantastic roller-coaster. How did a decade go by? It only seems two seconds ago that we were creating tunes in a tiny bedroom, "I love my man" and "Cylons in Love" being played with the summer sun beaming in through the windows... many an evening and/or morning we'd polish off vodka and beers purchased with our dole cheques, and Nail saying we should call ourselves 'Bent' and me thinking "we can't do that!" ....the next thing you know we're asking Patrick Moore to say "Don't go to bed just yet!" (after several train journeys where where Nail's impression of him included that phrase) and more recently Sir Michael Caine revealing himself as a Bent fan... What a delight to be on his latest album entitled "Cained", although I was thinking "Not a lot of people play that" would be better!
10 years of being Bent... Hoorah!
For those of you who subscribed to the infrequent online rantings of both Myself and Mr Tolliday, I'd like to mention that we have a few hopes for this year... one of them is hopefully the release of a 'Bent's Greatest Hits' (heheheheh!) to mark a decade of sample squishing and knob twiddling, so watch this space for further details.. I'm sure we'll be kind enough to plop on some new bits, old secrets and other treats of a Bent nature!
Have you had a good 10 years? I certainly have! Here's to the next 10! (Although I'm not interested in being 44)
