Big & Rich are set to release their first Greatest Hits CD and DVD, “Big & Rich: Greatest Hits” on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The CD will include 15 of their chart-topping hits and fan-favorite songs, including the previously unreleased, “The Man I Am Right Now.” The DVD will include the music videos for nine of the duo’s ground-breaking, sensational hits from their Warner Bros. Records albums. A direct-to-consumer piece, which includes the CD (with three bonus tracks) and the DVD, will also be available at http://www.bigandrich.com/ on the release date.

The genre-bending super-duo introduced themselves to the world with the release of their May 2004 triple-Platinum, No. 1 debut release Horse Of A Different Color, which spawned such hits as “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)” and “Holy Water.” Their follow-up CD, Comin’ To Your City, was released in November 2005 and has also achieved platinum status, fueled by hits such as the title-track and the highly-nominated “8th of November.” In 2007, John Rich and Big Kenny released their third studio album, Between Raising Hell And Amazing Grace, which graced them with their first No. 1 hit, “Lost In This Moment,” and the title-track.

Both John and Big Kenny have been awarded songwriters of the year by their respective performing rights organizations. Kenny was the 2005 BMI Songwriter Of The Year, and scored a No. 1 hit for Tim McGraw’s “Last Dollar.” John was awarded the ASCAP Songwriter/Artist Of The Year Award in 2005, 2006 and 2007, and has penned No.1 hits for Gretchen Wilson, Faith Hill, and Jason Aldean and has 13 Top 10 singles under his belt. The duo has also garnered multiple Grammy, ACM, CMA and CMT Music Award nominations.

In 2009, John Rich released a solo album, Son Of A Preacher Man, and scored his first Top 15 single as a solo artist with the poignant hit “Shuttin’ Detroit Down.” Big Kenny will release his solo album, The Quiet Times Of A Rock And Roll Farm Boy, on Love Everybody Records, on Oct. 27, 2009. The duo just finished up a 24-city tour this summer.

NASHVILLE, TN—August 10, 2007—Big & Rich's June 5th release, Between Raising Hell And Amazing Grace, is officially certified gold by the RIAA.  Only nine weeks after it debuted 1 on Soundscan's current country albums chart and fueled by the duo's first ever 1 single, "Lost In This Moment," which recently spent two weeks at the top of both the R&R and Country Aircheck/Mediabase charts, has gone gold.

Big Kenny commented, "We can't believe the impact "Lost In This Moment" has had on our album sales. To sell over a half million records off one single, in only nine weeks, is outstanding. I think it was just time that we had that song in our set, the one that people can cuddle up to and dance together out there."  John Rich added, "The exciting part is that this is just the beginning of what we feel is the best album of our career.  There is just so much on this album that we are proud of and we can't wait to start digging into it."

Big & Rich's next single, "Between Raising Hell And Amazing Grace," will be released August 13th.  John and Kenny will shoot the video for this single in September in Los Angeles, where they'll exercise their acting chops.

Big Kenny and John Rich cut into their Number 1 wedding cake.

Music Row came out in full force to congratulate the singing, songwriting super-duo Big & Rich on Wednesday on their very first, multiple week, number one single, "Lost In This Moment," penned by John Rich, Keith Anderson, and Rodney Clawson.  Big & Rich were blown away by all the support and acknowledged how they could not have gotten to this place without everyone's help, especially Keith Anderson and Rodney Clawson for helping pen a love song that is "such an incredible song for us to sing every night."

Big Kenny stated, "Thank you everyone.  There are a lot of people here who have put good hard work, time, and energy into John Rich's and my career—the career of Big & Rich."  John Rich added, "The first time Kenny and I really performed together in front of people was at MuzikMafia on Tuesday night at the Pub Of Love, and we want to thank the MuzikMafia for that.  Thanks to radio for coming on board and giving us this number one, and thanks to Gator Michaels and all the regionals that have burnt the tires off their cars to take us to these stations.  And honestly, thanks to Bill Bennett for letting us scream at him a few times and not throwing us out of here."

Bill Bennett (Warner Bros. Records, Executive Vice President) rejoined, "I want to thank you guys for not having fear and for creating music that crosses over boundaries.  You are not afraid to take chances and nowadays we need artists to take those leaps of faith.  Congratulations on the number one single—you guys deserve it and deserve many more in the future."

All of the questions below came directly from Big & Rich's friends on MySpace - thank you to everyone who submitted a question!

Everyone wants to know more about  8th of November.  What is the story behind the song?

Visit www.8thofnovember.com  for the complete story behind the song. Also on that site is an opportunity for anyone to honor a hero of their own. You can submit your own story about your hero, and it will be posted on the site for the world to see!!

Question from Margie Pennsylvania -  Where do you get inspiration for your songs?

Life!!  When we are 80 years old we want to look back, listen, and have our albums be like memiors of our life and career in various stages...every single song that has been on a Big and Rich album has a story behind it that one of us has experienced, if not both.

Question from Kevin in Georgia - Growing up, who were your favorite bands and  artists?

(Beatles, Queen, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Led Zepplin, Dwight Yoakam, Frank Sinatra, Lynyrd Skynyrd the list goes on and on!!!  Any one who made GREAT music!!!

Question from Cory in  North  Carolina - What are some previous jobs that you had  before you all were musicians?

BK Building Contractor / Farmer
JR Worked at Opryland Theme Park right out of high school!

Question from Jennifer in Virginia-  How did you all get together?

A mutual friend introduced us.  She really thought that we had something individually as writers, and could only imagine what would happen if we were to write together.  John came to a Big Kenny show at Douglas Corner in Nashville, where I (BK) inadvertently tossed a piece of bubble gum out into the crowd that hit him right between the eyes, before wed ever even met!! After months of cancelling writing appointments on each other we finally got together, the second song we ever wrote together was I Pray For You

Question from Cindy  in Nevada -  Which Country artist/group have you not toured with yet and would really love  to tour with?

Garth Brooks!! :-)  Honestly wed like to be a part of the first multi-genre tour with everything from country artists, to rock, pop, soul, blues, hip-hop, etc., etc...  Muzik without Prejudice!!  Wed love to be able to expose our music to fans of every other genre out there...and vice versa!!

Question from  Caroline in Oregon - What is your favorite song to  perform live?

Would have to be Rollin...the energy both onstage between the band, Cowboy Troy, the lighting, pyrotechnics, coupled with the insane crowd reaction is almost overload at times!!  Thats why weve always ended the show with Rollin, you just cant top the energy!

Question from Jim in  Kentucky -  What are your plans for the future?  Is there an album in the  works?

Touring all the big fairs and festivals thru September, then back into the studio to begin work on the 3rd Big and Rich album.   With any luck should be in stores spring/summer of 07
