Hi.

We hope this finds you well.

A quick note to say we're still alive and truly pleased to say that tomorrow we start our travels into a summer and beyond of touring Europe. In a matter of hours (yes I should be asleep) we'll be departing Berlin for southern Sweden as we're playing at the Siesta Festival on Friday.

Please, for those that are interested, start following us on our Twitter page to keep up to date (up to the minute and straight from Mr.Kings phone) on our touring escapes and more.

There are quite a few dates posted up right now on our Myspace so if you are around please come along to a show/festival.

EXPATRIATE ANNOUNCE ONLY AUSTRALIAN GIG THIS YEAR
& SIGN TO UK BASED RIVERMAN MANAGEMENT!

Sydney’s own ‘Expatriate’ announce an exclusive one off show - their only show in Australia this year - at OAF on Friday 19th September.  A spectacle of song and dance featuring material from the band's debut album 'In The Midst Of This' combined with some brand new songs to be performed for the very first time. It promises to be a special night.

Exciting times lie ahead for Expatriate as they were taken on this year by one of the UK’s top Management companies, Riverman Management (who started out as promoters in the UK and were responsible for the influxof ‘grunge’ bands to the UK back in the early 90’s and subsequently promoted all the UK shows by amongst others Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins,Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, PJ Harvey). The company has big plans for Expatriate throughout the world over the coming months and this includes the band heading overseas for some lengthy touring in Europe,USA, SE Asia and South America.  Riverman are the team behind rock band Placebo’s massive worldwide success – selling over 12 million albums worldwide.  They were also responsible for Roxy Music’s 2001 reunion world tour and subsequently managed Bryan Ferry. They also manage Martina Topley Bird who’s best known for collaborations with Tricky and Gorillaz. Her current single ‘Poison’ had huge critical acclaim with the coolcut remix by Van She.  Riverman, who also have an office in Bangkok, also promoted the Bangkok 100 Rock Festival in 2006 (SE Asia’s biggest international rock festival) which featured artists such as Oasis, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol, Ian Brown and of course Placebo.
