Chelsea Handler has her own production company “Borderline Amazing Productions…” and one of the first things this company is producing are 4 stand-up specials that will air exclusively on E! called “The Comedians of Chelsea Lately”.
For the next four Friday nights - starting August 14th and wrapping up Sept 4th - you’ll see, at 10:30pm on E! four 1/2 hour stand-up specials - featuring some of your roundtable favorites from Chelsea Lately.
We filmed this special at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles earlier this summer.
It’s a whole new thing for E! - its’ fucking funny and it gives really talented comedians the freedom and time to do their acts without all the censorship and time restraints (and politics) of Comedy Central and other networks - by the way, that’s my little rant, no one at E! told me to say that.
Anyway - the first in the series airs THIS FRIDAY NIGHT (August 14th!) and you should check it out. If the ratings are good in the first few weeks - who knows? Maybe more will come your way! So let’s work together to make this a hit! We did our work. We showed up at Nokia and rocked it. So now you do your work which really involves just tuning it - and murdering a Neilsen family and taking over their box, if possible, no pressure.
