Martina has announced details of her Autumn/Winter tour supporting Massive Attack.

Martina will also be a special guest vocalist with Massive Attack on stage throughout the entire tour.

Tickets are on sale now via your local ticket vendor, although many of the shows are SOLD OUT already!

ACTIONAID PRESENTS... 6 Degrees Live

What is it all about? 

Join ActionAid for 6 Degrees Live, an event in support of women around the world campaigning for equal rights and an end to discrimination against women. 


The event is to be hosted by award-winning journalist (and music enthusiast) Miranda Sawyer and will feature live performances by some of the hottest breakthrough female acts of 2009 such as thecocknbullkid and  Alessi's Ark as well as an exclusive appearance from pop maverick Martina Topley Bird who will headline this event. 


West End party favourites Smash & Grab will be hosting the bar area, featuring DJ sets from residents Queens of Noize, The Voguettes, and special guests Zezi Ifore and infamous New Yorker Princess Superstar.


Where?  The ICA, The Mall, London ,SW1Y 5AH

When?  Wednesday 29th April 2009 

What time?  Starts 7.30 p.m. Ends 1.00 a.m.

How much?  £10 

Who is it for?

Box office proceeds raised at 6 Degrees Live will be donated to ActionAid, which works to empower and support women and girls so that they can achieve their full potential. Discrimination and violence keep millions of women on less than $1 a day. With no real means to create better lives for themselves, it’s no wonder that 70% of the world’s poor are women.

On the 23-24th October Martina performed on 2 songs at Serge Gainsbourg's "Histoire de Melody Nelson" concert at Cite de la Musique in Paris. The orchestra was conducted by Jean Claude Vannier, who arranged and wrote all the music.

Firstly Martina performed with with French actor Mathieu Amalric (DOMINIC GREEN, the villain in the new James Bond film "Quantum Of Solace"!!!) on ''Melody'', then straight onto "Ballade de Melody Nelson" with Brian Molko (of rock band PLACEBO). Other artists who performed on the night were French singers Brigitte Fontaine, Alain Chamfort and Daniel Darc, French actress Clothilde Hesme and operatic singer Seaming To.
