R + R *See martinrev.com at the video link for previews and more info

Martin Rev + Stefan Roloff,
musician and painter, are starting their first tour of live cinematic explosion.

Originating in New York City's Rock 'n Roll scene, R + R are known for their cutting edge work.
On this tour, they'll pioneer a brand new event, featuring an adrenaline pumping combination of digital sounds and images.
The result is live cinema in concert.

With nothing but their simple trademark instruments – keyboards, DVD players and a video mixer – they noisily break the safe margins of traditional VJ presentations and other audiovisual forms.
Mixing powerful acoustic and visual rhythms live on stage, R + R break the rules of conventional seeing and listening. In their act, music doesn't accompany and images don't illustrate.
Instead, like a hypnotic ritual, they work together on stage, pulling the audience far beyond into another world.

A circular projection screen is suspended over the darkened stage. R + R play in front of it.
With their synchronized sounds and pictures R + R take us through a range of themes, from a speed race through urban tunnels to a meltdown of faces of all ages, colors and gender. Splendor is an important element of their show. Our world may be in terrible shape, but what would it be without Rock 'n Roll?
