Nightwish is showing respect for Finnish singer/songwriter veteran Jaakko Teppo by recording his song “Hilma ja Onni” in Finnish. Jaakko Teppo is well known in Finland of his humorous protest songs associated with the labor movement. 15 years ago a serious illness forced Jaakko Teppo to withdraw from the stages. Today many of the brightest stars in Finland are honoring Jaakko Teppo’s legacy for Finnish music culture by recording his songs on tribute album "Pörsänmäen Sanomat". Nightwish's rendition of “Hilma ja Onni” is available on iTunes & CDON.COM and the album "Pörsänmäen Sanomat – Tribuutti Jaakko Tepolle" can be ordered through www.fanzone/jaakkoteppo.

Before the ultimate final show of the DARK PASSION PLAY WORLD TOUR 2007-2009, on the Hartwall Arena on the 19th of September 2009, the last chance to see NIGHTWISH live outside Finland will be at the Luzhniki Arena, Moscow, Russia on the 5th of September 2009.

Skånes Dansteater returns to Malmö Opera in the autumn of 2009 with the new production BLACK SILK.

With 18 dancers and about 100 participants in the Opera orchestra and choir, this will be one of their biggest performances ever. The evening begins with the Asia-inspired piece HEART OF SILK choreographed by Pontus Lidberg and ends with a new choreography by Jorma Uotinen to Finnish heavy metal by the metal group NIGHTWISH, reorganized for the symphony orchestra.

Rehearsals are allready in full swing.
