Friday night 12/11 join Whip for the release of his Whip Ale

 

As most of the country knows by now of the tragedy that recently struck the Lakewood Police Department. For those who don't you can read up on it here: http://blog.seattlepi.com/seattle911/archives/187606.asp 

Snoqualmie Casino and Seattle rock station KISW-FM (99.9) announced KISW Salutes the Shield, a benefit show that will bring Queensryche and Duff McKagan, of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver fame, to the casino's ballroom on Dec. 19.

Queensryche will play a special acoustic set and McKagan will perform with his band, Loaded, and special guests.

Tickets are $20 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday (Dec. 11). The event will also include a silent auction featuring trips, autographed guitars and other items. Proceeds will benefit the Lakewood Police Independent Guild.

If you are unable to attend the show you can also show support and make a donation to the fallen officer's families by making a donation at http://lpig.us/. That is the website for the Lakewood Police Independent Guild. All money goes directly to the families of the fallen officers. Sadly, a total of nine children were left without a parent. Help to make their Christmas a little easier this year.

Queensryche sends its condolences and prayers to Amy and Dave, better known to those in and around the fan club and fan club message boards as Rage and London. Dave (London) passed away last week on the 13th. His passing was sudden and a shock to those on the fan club boards. London was a positive and upbeat person who was liked by all. He will be missed greatly. Rychers around the world plan to hoist a toast to London tonight at 9:00 PM Eastern. So either tip your favorite beverage to him or just send some energy to his family and/or share your memories of London here.

On November 2nd the rock and heavy metal music community lost an icon. However, this person was not responsible for making the music we hear but for capturing the music we hear in pictures. Queensryche would like to express their condolences to the friend's, fans and family of rock photographer Jeff Findley. 

Jeff has had the opportunity to shoot many of the bands we only hope to have the opportunity to see in concert. His portfolio reads like a who's who of rock and roll and Queensryche is honored to have a significant place in that portfolio. We invite you to visit Jeff's pages and see his talent for yourselves. After all a picture is worth a thousand words and a thousand pictures are indescribable. Jeff, you will be missed.
