Thom Yorke playing live at Global Premiere of The Age of Stupid

One night only:
Sept 21st (USA)
Sept 22nd (Rest of the world)

Tickets are on sale now for the Global Premiere of the climate blockbuster, The Age of Stupid. The event will be broadcast from a solar cinema tent in Manhattan to over 50 countries, from Antarctica to Argentina and will feature an acoustic track played live by Thom Yorke.

People from every continent will gather in cinemas, community centres and homes, to watch:
- the green carpet arrivals with celebrities arriving by bike, sailing boat, electric sports car and skateboard
- the docu-drama 'The Age of Stupid' which the Telegraph described as "Bold, supremely provocative, and hugely important"
- a live panel discussion featuring Kofi Annan, Mary Robinson, Gillian Anderson, the star of the film Pete Postlethwaite and the film's director Franny Armstrong
- live satellite links to scientists at in the Himalayas and Indonesian rainforest.

We have scheduled our Global Premiere for the evening before the UN General Assembly's Climate Session on Tuesday 22nd September, when more than 100 world leaders - and large parts of the global media - will be in New York.

The Age of Stupid Global Premiere aims to be both the film event of the year and to positively influence the world's response to the climate crisis. We very much hope that you would like to join us.

VIDEOS WERE ALL OF WINNERS OF THE ANIBOOM ANIMATED VIDEO COMPETITION

MySpace Music the world's most popular music community, is proud to announce that it will premier Radiohead's three new videos starting November 21 with the "Weird Fishes" and following with videos for "15 Step" and "Videotape" to be premiered on November 25 and November 28 respectively.

The creative teams behind the videos are Tobias Stretch from the US for "Weird Fishes;" the German team of Wolfgang Jaiser and Claus Winter for "Videotape" and Kota Totori from Japan for "15 Step." MySpace Music had previously premiered the video for "Reckoner" which was created by Clement Picon of France, which the band chose as the official video for the song. All four videos were winners of the In Rainbows Animated Music Video Contest. The contest was put together by aniBoom (aniboom.com), the premiere virtual animation studio, TBD Records and the band. The winners were selected by the members of Radiohead themselves .

"The aniBoom video competition, totally blown me away it has," said Thom Yorke, lead vocalist of Radiohead. "We are proud that In Rainbows songs were the source of inspiration for so many amazing creations."

The contest invited all creators and Radiohead fans from across the globe to produce a one-minute animated music video clip for any song from the band's latest album, In Rainbows, for a chance to win the $10,000 grand prize to produce a full-length animated music video. aniBoom received more than 1000 entries, representing more than 150 cities, 40 countries and 5 continents. The contest was promoted on Adult Swim, MySpace and aniBoom.com, where fans were able to vote for their favorite video and help determine the finalists from which Radiohead chose the winners. Due to the extraordinary quality of the submissions, Radiohead decided to choose four winning videos, rather than a single winner, and provided the additional prize money so that each of the four creators receives $10,000 to produce their full-length video. More information on the contest can be found at aniBoom.com.

After the overwhelming response to the Nude Remix Project, Radiohead are giving fans the opportunity to remix “Reckoner”, another track from the band's latest album “In Rainbows” at http://www.radioheadremix.com

To make remixing easy, the separate ‘stems'* from the song will be available to purchase on iTunes. The ‘stems' available are bass, lead vocal, backing vocals, guitars, piano/strings and drums.  All six stems will be available to buy for the price of a single track.  Fans can mix them in any way they like, either by adding their own beats and instrumentation, or just remixing the original parts.

Fans who purchase the ‘stems' from iTunes during the first two weeks they're available, will be sent an access code to a GarageBand file ready to open in GarageBand or Logic. However, you don't need GarageBand to do a remix, the stems are available in the DRM-free iTunes Plus format and compatible with several music software platforms.

Finished mixes can be uploaded to http://www.radioheadremix.com where the public will listen and vote for their favourite. Fans can also create a widget allowing votes from their own website, Facebook or MySpace page to be counted as ‘mix votes' back on radioheadremix.com.

*‘stems' are the component parts of the song.

A note from Colin

Santa Barbara

Hello! To celebrate the end of a brilliant tour, we're going to webcast the last show here in America. We'll be playing live in Santa Barbara, at the Bowl. It's one of our favourite places to play; I think we've ended tours there before, once even playing a cover of ' cinnamon girl '. It's not too big, in fact it's very intimate, a small arena with a dirt floor, set in pretty countryside. It should be a special night, for lots of reasons, and we're going to try and share as much of it as we can on the webcast. Nigel, our producer, will be helping out getting it to you, so if it goes wrong....It's live!
Thank you so much to everyone who's come and seen us this year; it has truly been the most special and exciting tour for all of us.
Webcast details to follow...
x
