Vi vet inte om det är julbudskapets godhet, mörkrets påverkan eller vad det är som gjort att branschen äntligen vaknat till liv, men nu har i alla fall senaste RAISED FIST albumet Veil of ignorance blivit nominerat till en Grammis i klassen Hårdrock. Raised Fist spelar förvisso delvis rock och är givetvis hårdare än alla de andra nominerade bandens mammor tillsammans. Detta visste vi sedan tidigare. Nu har dock polletten även trillat ner för branschen (IFPI), som trots Raised Fist uppenbara inställning för gratis nedladdning, upptäckt det norrländska guldets värde och inte vågat annat än att nominera gossarna.

Det här är ju revolutionerande kul och vi ser med nyfikenhet på hur ett eventuellt tacktal skulle formuleras. Nu röstar vi järnet fram till midnatt måndag den 14:e dec och ser till att kora den enda tänkbara vinnaren i kategorin. Den här gången kan fansen säga sitt och det betyder en hel del.

We dont know if it’s because of Christmas, because of the dark powers or any other influential force. But the new album “Veil Of Ignorance” has been nominated for a Swedish Grammi-award (Hardrock). We know that Raised Fist knows how to rock, and we also know that they are harder then all the other nominated bands mothers. But still we could not imagine the recordindustry (IFPI) nominating a band so obviously open for filesharing. They probably didn’t dare to do anything else.

This is revolutional per se. We are so curious about how an eventual thank you speech would sound like. Lets give the boys all our votes until Monday the 14’th of dec in order to crown the only worthy winner in the category. This time fans all over the world will have their say!

European tour update!

Feels so nice to be back on continental ground. The Veil Of Ignorance tour together with DEEZ NUTS and ENDWELL has been a fucking blast! Mostly sold out shows so far which is just amazing. THANK YOU ALL for coming out to the shows! We still have 5 more shows to play so no time to rest. We just wanted to thank you all, and give you a couple of pictures from the tour.

Scandinavia we owe you! (partly in swedish)

As we said before the gig in Mikkeli and HELLsinki went off like a nuclear missile. INSANE crowd in Finland no doubt about that. We cant get enough of them and we really want to throw out a BIG thank you to all of the people that came out to our shows. We have to tell the rest of the world that Finland is something ELSE when it comes to hard music! Totally insane!

Stockholm, Göteborg, Oslo och Malmö. Jävlar vilket emottagande vi har fått. Det har varit otroligt kul och vi ser verkligen fram emot att göra några festivalgig i sommar. Då hoppas vi på ett kärt återseende.

First off, Finland, Suomi, Helsinki and Mikkeli! We would like to thank you all for coming out to the shows. Thank you for the support and hope to see you all again in the future!

Skandinavien turnén startar med utsålt (In swedish)

Skandinavien-turnén startade i helgen i Finland med gig i Helsinki och Mikkeli. Båda ställena var utsålda och fyllda till höjd och bredd med förväntansfulla människor. Det var många som inte lyckats få tag i någon biljett och till dessa kan boysen hälsa att de hoppas på att återkomma till Finland inom en snar framtid.

Bättre tryck och mer energi får man leta efter. Till och med vakterna struntade till sist i stagediveförbudet och stod själva och röjde mellan kravallstaketet och scenen mot slutet. Det var helt enkelt ett helvetes medryckande ös!

Nu ser hela teamet fram emot giget i Stockholm den 7'e Oktober. Med ovan nämnda gig (Australien och Finland) i ryggen är övertygelsen stor om att boysen kommer att jämna hela Gröna Lund med marken. Därefter kommer maskinen att rulla vidare mot Göteborg, Malmö och Oslo!

Datumen i Sverige/Norge är inte många. Instrumenten ligger redan i Stockholm och väntar medan boysen laddar batterierna i den Norrländska kylan. Vi räknar ner....

It..s now pretty much only a week or so til we drop our new album”Veil of Ignorance”. Stay awake and look out for the first video for Friends and Traitors that will be up any day now. The dates for the recordrelease differ from 7th to 9th of September depending in what area of the world you live in. The record will also be released on Itunes globally at the same time. Check your local stores!

The touring will be kicking it off in Australia starting on the 10th of September. Going out with one of Australias finest CARPATHIAN (www.myspace.com/carpathian). Only five shows in the major cities so get your tickets now. Back on European soil we will then do two finish shows in Helsinki and Mikkeli supported by Denmark’s PIGRIMZ (www.myspace.com/pilgrimz). And about 10 days later we will give Sweden and Norway what they deserve. Four shows once again supported by PILGRIMZ and UK's YOUR DEMISE (www.myspace.com/yourdemise).

The European tour will kick off a few days later, on the 16: Th of October in Bochum, the heart of Europe. We're doing 16-17 shows ending the whole run in Athens. Touring with us are another one of Australia’s new crazy punkers DEEZ NUTS (www.myspace.com/deeznutshardcore) and the superb hardcore act ENDWELL straight out of New York (www.myspace.com/endwell).

Last but not least we are currently planning a USA tour. We will start off in Southamerica then work our way up to Mexico, and then continue into Canada to once again hit the country of cold. “Crisse de calisse de tabarnak”!! After Canada we hit a couple of dates in the states (Los Angeles and New York with more cities to follow). Yeah, you read it right!

Nothing more to say, only things to do! Se you all in the pit!

A little newsupdate brought to you from the City Of Cold!
First; check out the second track posted from the coming album. A punkrock piece called ”Slipping Into Coma”. It is not that many days till the album lands. Hope this one will do for now. Enjoy!

Also, we just shot the first video to ”Friends And Traitors” here at location in our hometown Luleå. An intense video-session, and a real blast that you will see the result of on your screens early September. Will know exact date soon, so keep your eyes out for that news and of course the video. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the recording.

We also wanna let you people know about some added shows to the tours. We are once again attacking Norway and Greece. We are doing Oslo on the 9;th of october supported by Your Demise and Pilgrimz. Some weeks later we are finishing of the European tour by doing a one off fly-in Athens show at a place called Sin City.

But for now, Australia should focus on getting fucking ready!!

Swedish rock heavyweights Raised Fist have announced their plans to start recording a new album in April this year. The band will team up with Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah) and record at “Studio Dug Out” in Uppsala, Sweden.

Formed back in 1993, Raised Fist has become an established name within the heavy music scene over the years. The band gained a legendary status within the hardcore scene and became a well respected name within the metal community.

Their fifth studio album, a follow up to their successful 2006's “Sound Of The Republic”, is being approached with the same enthusiasm and balls-to-the-wall attitude as before: “Expect nothing more from us than a "fifth studio album", let the music talk for itself”  says the singer Alexander "Alle" Hagman. ”Raised Fist specialists, notorious critics and trendsetters all around the world will have their say. After that we go on tour and blast every one of them off their high horses.... just like every single time before”

After they finish recording the new album, the band will appear exclusively at three Top Summer Festivals in Scandinavia: Peace & Love, West Coast Riot in Sweden and Provinsirock in Finland. Their worldwide tour kicks off in early September ‘09.

It is now 12 hours before the guys will hit the stage in the City of
Jyväskylä - Finland, Suomi! As you might imagine, it is with great pride
we at Burning Heart / Epitaph together with Bandit Radio and Myspace.com
have the opportunity to present:

KILLING IT TOUR 2008 SCANDINAVIA!

This year with more dates included then last year’s sold out tour. Norway
and Denmark will get their share of unrelentless murderous punishment
brought to you from the northern swedish city of Luleå. KILLING IT 2008
SCANDINAVIA will kick off in Finland late tonight and end in Oslo, Norway
on the 5th of April. Get your tickets to witness these last Scandianvian
club shows in.. well we dont even know when this will happen again!

After the two forced cancellations it seems like the crew is finally reaching a deal with the canadian promoter about a new period for the North American leg of the "Killing It Tour". This burst of power will reach Canada in the first half of December 2007. Even though this period is pretty late into the year, the guys are anxious to get it done. Canada has always been one of their absolute favourite countries to tour. More info about all this later on.
