2008 has come to a close, and I would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year.
The past year has been a whirlwind for me and it has been my most successful year yet. I have been so busy jumping from project to project, that I almost haven't had the chance to reflect on everything that has happened. So, as I look back on 2008, and get ready for 2009, I wanted to re-cap the major events of the past year.
Perhaps the most impressive thing that happened to me this year is that I was selected as the "official video model" for
Motley Crue's latest tour. The Crue put together a killer video presentation that accompanies their live concert and they decided to feature footage from my collection of fetish videos in that presentation. This was truly a highlight for me, and I've been approached by so many people who recognized me during the concerts. I've seen some of the clips myself and they are amazing, and in 2009 I look forward to seeing the show live when the Crue returns to South Florida in March.
This year, I also appeared in two non-adult movies, which was a first for me. To begin with, I was a main cast member in
Bianca Beauchamp's All Access II, a documentary film shot behind the scenes at the
Montreal Fetish Weekend. This film made its debut during the 2008 Fetish Weekend at a wonderful red-carpet premiere. Next, I was also featured in Aiden Dillard's upcoming film,
Death Print. I was cast as a crime-fighting detective who goes undercover as a fetish model to catch a pair of murderous thugs. It is my first mainstream acting role and the film is packed with lots of gun fights, explosions, and of course, sexy girls in rubber. That film will be released in 2009 and I can't wait to see the finished product.
My live performance schedule also increased in 2008, and I found myself on the road performing at different events in different cities several times a month. Doing both solo shows and performances with "
FAQ vs. RubberDoll", my suitcases were almost always packed. In the space of 12 short months, I performed in Zurich, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Dallas, Houston, Rome, Berlin, New York City, Amsterdam, Atlanta, Tampa, Montreal, Athens, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Las Vegas, London, Paris, and of course, right at home in South Florida. It was an amazing experience to be able to attend fetish events in so many parts of the world in a single year. And my performance schedule shows now signs of slowing down in 2009. With several new dates already booked, I think I'm going to need some extra pages in my passport.
In addition to fetish events, I also made several appearances at conventions this year. I really enjoy doing these, since I get a chance to meet and chat with so many more people than I do in a loud nightclub. This year I exhibited at
Exxxotica Miami Beach,
FetishCon, and
SwingFest. I was also included in an awesome 30-minute stage show at
Erotica UK in London, which was produced by
Torture Garden and featured some of the most unique performers I've been involved with. Each convention was very different, but they were all a lot of fun in their own way and I'm already looking forward to some more in 2009.
During the past year, I also got a lot more attention in the media. As the year came to a close, you could find me on the cover of
Bizarre Magazine along with
Bianca Beauchamp, as well as in a 10 page photo-spread inside. I was also featured in a cover-story that appeared in both the Miami and Broward/Palm Beach editions of the
New Times (the best alt-weekly paper in South Florida). The
SunPost recognized me in its "Power of Women" issue, along side several local activists, artists and professionals. And I also managed to grab cover stories in
Dark Spy,
Night Magazine,
AdultFun 411and
MetroANE as well.
With all of my performing and travelling, I'm amazed that I was actually able to keep up with my modeling. But, I still managed to shoot tons of new scenes and updated my website every single week. I also branched out and started working with some additional photographers this year, including
Christine Kessler,
Martin Perreault,
Maxime Avet,
Jill Rasco,
Uberdog, and
Peter Czernich of Marquis Magazine. It's been great getting some different perspectives on my photos and I plan to continue working with talented photographers in the coming year. I also continued my own behind-the-scenes production and styling for my ShinySluts website and I got to work with a lot of new kinky girls there this year.
Altogether, its been one crazy, busy and super-fun year. I don't know what 2009 holds in store, but I hope its packed with more pervy fetish fun. And I promise to share all the highlights with you here on the web!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
