RECORDING!

The release of the new Saints album has been delayed
That's the bad news!

The good news is that Chris and the band have just signed to Come on Records,  a subsiduary of  FC Records.
A whole new kettle of mud! More news soon to come! But believe you me, this is very exciting!

The recording might also be happening in Belgrade, rather than the US, since Caspar has got his hands on
a fabulous edifice perfectly suited for the ultimate band performance recordings!

CORSICA!

The Saints are playing in Ajaccio, Corsica, France, tonight the 12th of December.
Since Caspar is busy building his new studio in Belgrade he is unfortunately not available to play.
Fear not though, the band will be as good as ever
with speedy Jane Mack on bass! it's been too long since the band had a female touch ....this is now amended!

" I like what Napoleon said about China:
- Beware of the sleeping dragon. When the dragon Wakes, you should all quake!"
from Nothing is Straight in my House 2005

MONTBELIARD!
The Saints are playing Atelier des Moles, Montbeliard, France  tomorrow night, the 13th of December.
Watch out for the lions of that town!
Every day is a holiday, every night is a party!
Come on! Come on!

Amsterdam 2006

Following on from 2005s Nothing Is Straight In My House album, The Cadiz Recording Company is set to release the new Saints album Imperious Delirium on Monday 23rd October. The album features 11 new songs recorded at Amsterdams Stollywood studios.

Kicking off with the vibrant and sarcastic Drunk in Babylon and careering wildly from the beautifully understated Other Side Of The World to the gorgeous pop of So Close and Declare War, to the literary allusions of Trocadero and insane rockers like Drowning and the brilliantly titled Je Fuckin Taime, before ending with the forlornly introspective lament of War of Independence - Imperious Delirium is further evidence of The Saints new found vitality!

The intention of Imperious Delirium was to capture the raw power of The Saints as a reinvigorated three-piece live band. Chris Bailey is again shown to be somewhat of an experimentalist. This time around he is not only the singer - the vocals are better than ever - but he is also the only guitarist on the album. Backed by Caspar Wijnberg (bass) and Pete Wilkinson (drums) who once again prove themselves the perfect foil, The Saints have managed to make a deceptively pop album with a minimum of orchestration. Its a classic pop/rock album that uses the "less is more" maxim.

Losing their "lead guitarist" midway through a world tour the band were pleasantly surprised to discover that far from being a hindrance the loss was in fact a blessing. It liberated the band allowing them to get to the heart of their songs. Transferring this dynamic to the studio, The Saints recorded/mixed Imperious Delirium in just three weeks. "We spent three weeks in a basement locked inside a Saintsworld bubble and emerged with forty odd minutes of music made entirely by the three of us (no outside influences involved), less is more, no fillers only killers."

Having completed the album the band are to hit the road once more starting the world tour in October. That apart, the next year will see the band and The Cadiz Recording Co. continue a programme of Saints Rehabilitation, with the release of a box set (4 CD's that cover the initial post EMI years and include rarities and never before released material) and an acoustic record, Bone Box which features reinterpretations of Saints classics including, "Stranded, "Perfect Day", "Ghost Ships" and "All Fools Day". Details of release dates will follow shortly.
