So we are so stoked to finally be joining up with the Alternative Press tour and how fitting it is that we are back in our home state California. The shows on the left coast are always insane so we couldn't be more excited. It's always a little weird in the first few days of a tour...getting used to being back on the road, not sleeping or showering when you'd like and so forth. This tour is very different from the lineups we normally go out with but that's what makes this tour so different and fun, all the bands have been super nice already and clearly it's great to be a part of anything involving Alternative Press who have always backed our band hard. We started the tour in Chico followed by our home area show in the Bay....then went down to Bakersfield and hit up LA this evening. Los Angeles/ Pomona area shows are always so much fun, the crowds are always insane which makes the show that much more fun for us. We hit up dennys after the show which we were clearly stoked on....it was a good change from hitting up Del Taco & In N' Out on a daily basis in the beginning of the tour to moving on to moons over my hammy and super birds. Big ups to all the fans that came to kick it with us at Dennys, we will be doing a few more Denny's hangs on the tour so keep your eyes open for updates. We will be updating this blog to give everyone a sneak peek of all the action on the road.

If you come out to a show from 10/17 and on you may notice something different onstage.. Our buddy Justin who just came off a european tour with hardcore band Gravemaker ( www.myspace.com/gravemaker) will be filling in for Junior for the remainder of the tour as he has to go home to finalize wedding plans. We congratulate Junior on his upcoming wedding and can't wait to attend.

Be sure to follow us on twitter "@therealsyg" for updates as well and don't forget to check out how fresh we look on the cover of Alternative Press in stores now. Hope to see everyone out at the shows bringing the mosh!"

Due to an ongoing health issue with one of their band members, Bay Area popcore sextet Set Your Goals have been forced to drop off the next eight stops of the AP Tour Fall Ball. The band will rejoin the tour starting Oct. 10 in Chico, California. They had this to say:

"We wanted to let everyone know that everything is back on track and our bandmate is on the road to recovery. Set Your Goals will be joining up with the Alternative Press Fall Ball Tour on 10/10 in Chico, CA and we honestly can't wait. We wanted to say thanks to all of you that have sent your thoughts and well wishes during this time. The truth is we could never repay your for all of your support and are looking forward to getting out there and playing for all of you. Big thanks also goes out to everyone at Alternative Press and our label, Epitaph, for their assistance and understanding in dealing with this situation. See you soon!"

The Fall Ball will still go on as scheduled with the Academy Is..., Mayday Parade, the Secret Handshake and You Me At Six all performing; special guests for the affected dates are in the works.

We are sorry to all the cities and people we have missed on this tour. We promise to be back again soon, and thank you all for your support and understanding during this time!

Keep living, Keep rockin'!

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we just wanted to let you guys know that unfortunately we have to cancel our performances on the AltPress Fall Ball ’09 Tour in Pontiac, MI, Columbus, OH, Grand Rapids, MI and Chicago, IL.  One of the members of Set Your Goals is very ill right now and is unable to make it to the first several dates.  We will know  more about his condition and when we’ll be able to re-join the tour by Monday.  Thanks to everyone at Alternative Press for their amazing support and to all our fans in advance for their understanding.  We wish our brother a speedy recovery, and will talk to you soon.”

"Outlet Thru Noise is a charity founded on the principles of the hardcore and punk scene. That every kid needs an outlet to express themselves. We at OTN are committed to boosting children in shelters' self esteem by providing them with high end clothing from cool labels, as well as a family friendly interactive gaming system for each shelter to be used as a reward system for good behavior as well as an icebreaker for kids just entering shelter. OTN wants to change the way victims of domestic violence perceive their own world and the authority figures in it."

We support this cause and we urge you to help out in any way you can. To learn more, check out the link HERE

Much love and thanks for reading, we hope to see you all soon on the AP Fall Ball Tour!
