words about "Wild Angels" from Mary Anne Hobbs

electronic music moves forward in thousands of tiny scattered steps every day.. 'Wild Angels' is a collection of future sound from Transatlantic producers building new creative trajectories.. progressing forward from dubstep, hip-hop, soul, folk and electronica..

the album features seminal tracks such as Hud Mo's 'Spotted', Starkey's 'Gutter Music VIP' and Rustie's 'ZigZag' shoulder to shoulder with 8 fresh new exclusives... and a myriad of deep and dazzling textures in between...

the album title was born out of an expression i used to describe the late Alice Coltrane, who has inspired and informed so much, on my BBC Radio1 West Coast Rocks special (which incidentally, featured many of the US artists on the album... )

I've got a free download available as part of this promo thing that ReverbNation are doing along with Microsoft. It's an instrumental version of "Starkvillain".... (which will be on the next Street Bass Anthems release)... however, the version I've posted for download is not the same as the one that's going on the 12". The one on the actual release is even more stripped down..... which after hearing this track you'll be like... how can it get even more sparse??!!! But it did.

So... enough rambling. This one's definitely a dancefloor track.... somewhat along the lines of my Crank Dat Batman remix.
