We are very pleased to announce the return of Scott Kelly to Greece!
He will be playing live on Sunday, January 17th 2010 at Mobetter Club, Themistokleous & Kolieti 32, Exarhia. 


»In the throws of my creative affliction I have had to make room for this, my most personal expression. Performing by myself with a relatively barren approach has brought me many of deepest reflections on how and why I do what I do.

The purpose of this tour is not promote a new record, as I have none, it is keep this flame alive and set myself again into a setting that is largely uncomfortable and unknown to me.

The set will be made up of songs that I have written and recorded over the last 10 years of my life, both solo and in group endeavors, as well as a great deal of new material that I have been writing and will be writing during the performance and during the travels that get me there, this performance will incorporate acoustic as well as electric guitar and sound texture.

TARDIVE DYSKNESIA


Οι prog/tech/core metalers Tardive Dyskinesia από την Νέα Μάκρη, χρόνια χωμένοι στο underground μουσικό σκηνικό της Ελλάδας και με μία κυκλοφορία ήδη στην πλάτη τους (“distorting point of view”  2006, venerate industries) θα μας παρουσιάσουν, με αφορμή το πολυαναμενόμενο ΝΕΟ τους Album “The Sea of See Through Skins” που κυκλοφορεί αυτή τη στιγμή από την coroner records, ζωντανά όλα τα κομμάτια του νέου cd αλλά και παλαιότερα κομμάτια σε δύο live shows σε Θεσσαλονίκη και Αθήνα. Δεν χρειάζονται ιδιαίτερες συστάσεις, όποιος έχει δει live αυτή τη μπάντα ξέρει τι να περιμένει και όποιος όχι τότε πρέπει απλά να κανονίσει να βρίσκεται το Σάββατο 5 Δεκεμβρίου στο Ηarley Βar, Θεσσαλονίκη και αντίστοιχα την Παρασκευή 11 Δεκεμβρίου στο Sin City, Αθήνα!

KVAZAR


Από το 1998 μέχρι σήμερα οι Kvazar παραμένουν μία από της καλύτερες death/grindcore επιλογές και θυμίζουν σε όλους μας πως εκτός από μπουγάτσες η Θεσσαλονίκη έχει και καλό metal!! Με αρκετά demo στο ιστορικό τους οι Θεσσαλονικείς ετοιμάζονται για την νέα κυκλοφορία τους με όνομα “Flatlined”, η οποία αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει σύντομα από την Venerate Industries.


FREEFALL


Οι Freefall από τη Θεσσαλονίκη παίζουν ένα κράμα από death core με progressive περάσματα και μεγάλη δόση ενέργειας. Μετά από 2 πολύ αξιόλογα demo και πολλές εμφανίσεις οι freefall, με το καλύτερο line up που είχαν ποτέ, αυτό τον καιρό κυκλοφορούν το καινούριο τους album με τίτλο “Demon watching demons play”

Μια σχετικά νέα progressive rock μπάντα που έχει αφήσει πολλά στόματα ανοιχτά με το φοβερό της ταλέντο στο να γράφει μουσική. Στο “The locust season” που κυκλοφόρησε σε όλη την Ελλάδα τον Σεπτέμβριο μέσω του περιοδικού Metal Hammer, η μπάντα από την Αθήνα παραδίδει μαθήματα για το πώς πρέπει να παίζεται το progressive rock σήμερα. Απλά απολαυστικοί!

"GROND, chapter two in a trilogy, is an album wholly immersed in abstraction. The instrumentation renders a forceful merging of massive celestial bodies, each a whirling cacophony exuding a unique sonic trembling. After digesting the lyrics in accordance, what used to sound like the swinging of a pendulum, rather depicts a birth of unintelligible base... a spectral achievement even. Nihill, an outfit still very new to the American public, travels freely from one metal sub-genre to the next. The reflexive nature with which Nihill makes these connections might lead one to consider them genreless. GROND, for example, is at once: drone, doom, noise, industrial, and black metal; arriving at something resembling a sort mechanistic dark ambient more than anything else."

A modern exploration of restrained sonic minimalism and tonal/textural density.Jodis'"Secret House" as a whole, recalls a void, a shoreless pit, a slow nihilistic descent into absolute blankness... The vocals emote a deviating distress, one that the listener will walk away from also knowing. The guitars loom with an almost inconceivable image of stillness. The percussion possesses an irregular circularity facilitating the general disorientation encapsulating the mood of the record. In summation, a thorough listen would kick the living shit out of your aptitude for co-habitation with other humans"



"Keelhaul's Triumphant Return to Obscurity, is not just a clever name for an album title marking a band's return from obscurity, it's an album title for a band's release marking that same band's return from obscurity. init? Chris Smith, Aaron Dallison, Dana Embrose, and Will Scharf have been at it as Keelhaul for over ten years and it shows. This record picks up on the band's progression as if they were steadily releasing records throughout their six year hiatus. The pace is precise, the instrumentation is masterful and the guitar tones are absolutely appropriate. Look, your old palKeelhaul knows what he's doing and he has no clue what a Williamsburg is, so he feels no need to overcompensate by adding strings, vibes, horns, boners (well maybe boners), harps and/or electric flutes... to his compositions... which is a damn good breath of fresh air if you ask us."
