SEE VINCENT PLAY LIVE MUSIC/VISUAL ARTS EVENT

HELLO ALL

VINCENT WILL BE PLAYING A MIX OF NEW MATERIAL, ANATHEMA CLASSICS AND COVERS AT A UNIQUE EVENT IN NORTHERN FRANCE.

THE DATE FOR THIS EVENT IS 17 DECEMBER 2009.

"SCENES FROM THE IMAGINARY LANDSCAPE" IS AN EVENING OF MUSIC, FILM, VISUAL ART PERFORMANCE AND INSTALLATIONS. IT WILL BE HELD AT LEGENDARY UNIVERSITY CINEMA (the only one of its kind in Europe) "KINO-CINE", NEAR LILLE, NORTHERN FRANCE.

THE MUSIC WILL INHABIT DARK, MELANCHOLIC SOUNDSCAPES FUSING ELECTRONIC/PROGRESSIVE/POST-ROCK AND CLASSICAL TO CREATE AN ATMOSPHERIC SOUND THAT COMPLEMENTS THE VISUALS ON THE CINEMA SCREEN.

FOR THIS EVENT VINCENT WILL BE PLAYING WITH HIS FRIENDS FROM FRENCH PROGRESSIVE BAND "AVERSE".

'Scenes From The Imaginary Landscape' is the third event organised by the collective of artists 'A Problem For Critics'.

Beyond the 'white cube', the conventional exhibition space or the typical music venue, this cinema/concert hall will provide a unique sensory experience. Visions and intuitions will be launched as hypotheses to the questions of fantasy, the sublime, hallucinations and the imagination.

Focussing on video, music, installations and improvised visual art performance, the participants are: Dmytro Afanasenko, Hicham Berrada, Sarah Derat, Sarah Feuillas, Marc Johnson, Mickael Mergui and Raphaël Thibault. Along with the progressive music of the French group Averse will be the debut live show of Ambient Tanks, a musical project founded by Vincent Cavanagh of the British art rock band Anathema.

At L'Ecole Nationale Superiore des Beaux Arts de Paris.
14 Rue Bonaparte, (metro - Saint Germain des-pres)

A collaboration of artists Marc Johnson, Hicham Berrada, Sarah Derat and Dmytro Afanasenko. Featuring art installations, sculpture, performance, video, music and photography. Vincent will play live with friends Gregoire Korniluk (cello), Sebastien Latour (piano), Tim Fromont Placenti (guitar), Colin Fromont Placenti (percussion) and Sarah Derat (keys/vocal).

The event is FREE (just bring your own drinks!) and will be in the Left Gallery from 5pm. Vincent will be playing at 7pm.
