SANKS!!!

Below is a list of everything we have for sale:

burning bridges

WITCH HUNT - "Burning Bridges To Nowhere" LP/CD (Alternative Tentacles)
Philadelphia's Witch Hunt have joined the ranks of the Bat and offered up their 3rd & finest full-length yet! Formed in 2001 as a New Jersey trio, Witch Hunt soon moved their brand of aggressive punk to Philadelphia where they expanded their lineup to a four-piece and continued to evolve their sound as abilities caught up to ideas. That evolution is evident in their AT debut, Burning Bridges to Nowhere, which blends the primal rage of hardcore, the melodic-sense of Husker Du, and the moodiness of UK peace-punk into an album that will leave genre-purists scratching their heads and (hopefully) have ALL fans of hardcore-punk walking and/or rocking together a little more often!
LP / $13 post-paid in the U.S.
CD / $12 post-paid in the U.S.

Stores / Distros contact midheaven.com for bulk/wholesale.

WITCH HUNT / TO WHAT END? Split 7"
After an incredible amount of drama, delays, and even more drama, the long-awaited split 7" between Philadelphia's WITCH HUNT and Stockholm's TO WHAT END? is finally available. Two new tracks from WITCH HUNT, picking up where Blood-Red States left off, plus a Rudimentary Peni cover. Aggressive punk with melody. TO WHAT END? offer up three of their most metallic ragers to date, while still retaining the "Swedish Sound" they're known for... Their best stuff yet. This is a split-release between Witch Hunt, Final Attempt Records, and Fight For Your Mind.
We are selling these through mailorder as well as at our shows but you can also contact our pal, Brian @ Final Attempt Records: www.myspace.com/finalattemptrecords or finalattemptrecords@yahoo.com .  He will be working the bulk of the mailorder as well as handling the wholesale orders for distros.

WITCH HUNT – "Blood-Red States" LP/CD (LP Self-Released, CD split release w/ Fistolo)
FROM MRR 278: What a pleasant surprise--- this is way, way better than their first album.  The bands sounds so much fuller and tighter due to the acquisition of an awesome new drummer, Vince, allowing Rob to move from drums to second guitar and concentrate more on vocals.  The wall-of-noise production is fucking killer, and the songs are more powerfuland more melodic at the same time---  if only more bands could have this combination!  As before, WITCH HUNT's most notable attribute is the brutal, scorching, and still tuneful vocals of Nicole and Janine.  Their music is a pounding, flowing, crashing wave of beautiful, dark crust-core, proving that a band can play epic crust and not sound like TRAGEDY.  Again, other bands take the cue.  The lyrics on this LP read almost like the anti-war coming-of-age rock opera that those poser stadium-punks wish they could've written.  Amazing! (PC)

FROM SUBURBAN VOICE BLOG 19: A lineup shift as Witch Hunt beef up their sound with Rob moving from drums to guitar and the addition of a new drummer. Rob also has an increased amount of vocal duties. A peace punk band and I'm not just saying that because of the peace symbols on the fold-out sleeve and record label. It's a stylistic influence, both in terms of the lyrical matter and sound. Raging, impassioned music with a combination of speed and melody. "War Coma" brings Crucifix to mind. The title track draws together the war in Iraq and the indifference towards the victims of Hurricane Katrina as part of the current administration's pure evilness. Witch Hunt really come into their own here. By the way, that aforementioned sleeve, a drawing by Rob that pictures a dead man sprawled across the blood red states, is an appropriate visual accompaniment.  (Al Quint)

WITCH HUNT – "This Is Only the Beginning…" CD (Fistolo)
This is the newest and oldest CD by Philadelphia's Witch Hunt, documenting their first few years as a band.  24-tracks in all, it includes their first LP ("...As Priorities Decay"), their first self-titled 7", their split 7" with Deathbag, unreleased demo tracks and more.  All remastered from the original mixes by Don Grossinger, this is a diverse feast of crust, hardcore, anarcho-punk and traditional punk rock...layered with dueling female/male vocals attacking issues of sexism, racism, reproductive rights ("Legislative Bodies Legislating Bodies"), just to name a few.  Witch Hunt wield a unique sound, as well as a unique lyrical style that is both pissed off and proud, full of rage and full of hope all at once.  They are not to be missed...and if you have been wanting to check them out but don't know where to start, well, this would (chrono)logically be a good place!  They're not stoppin' anytime soon...

Current mood:  optimistic
It was recently decided in the Witch Hunt camp that we were in dire need of a Frequently Asked Questions blog .  We figure this will save both you guys and us from some serious migraines so here they are, with more on the way I'm sure!  Questions are in bold, answers are italicized:

- When are y'all coming to California again?
We're pretty much always in the stages of setting up another tour, whether we make it to California or anywhere else depends on how much time we have.  Basically when we have things figured out we will send out a myspace bulletin or a newsletter email (sign up for it via the myspace page if you're interested) listing the tentative / confirmed dates.

- Will you guys do a split-record with my band?
Most likely not...  Well, no.  While we appreciate the offers we just can't commit to any more split-records...  Especially if we don't know you.  At this point we have no plans for a new recording and if and when we do we will only work with close friends.  Nothing personal.  Sorry.  Well, no, I'm not sorry.  Good luck!!!

- Yo!  What's with the peace-sign?  Are you guys hippies or something?

Are we hippies?  No (except maybe Nicole).  Is peace such a bad thing?  No (although judging from the reactions we've gotten it seems a lot of folks really beg to differ).  The decaying peace-symbol on our records, banner, etc. represents an idealogical erosion-of-sorts.  The peace-symbol is the perfect example...  A wonderful concept championed by a generation that became meaningless once it was commodified, over-used, and eventually abandoned by that generation as they grew up and chased their own dreams of luxury and convenience, fucking over anyone in their path, by any means necessary.  We also chose this "logo" because in the wake of 9/11 it was beginning to seem like you couldn't tell who was a war-monger and who was a punk anymore.  We wanted people to know what side we're on as well as remind them that any culture can be corrupted, bought, and sold...  Even a holier-than-thou DIY culture.  History repeats itself.

- So I'm putting together this compilation CD and BlahBlahBlah is going to be on it and BlahBlahBlah is almost confirmed...  Wanna record a new song for it or "donate" a previously-released song?
Mmmmm...  No thanks...

- Can you get my band a show in Philadelphia?
Unfortunately we can't really help out with shows.  We will try to help folks we know personally but we really don't have the time or energy to help everyone.  We all work and have lives outside the band which makes it incredibly difficult to even write people back on this thing.  However, we try to write back as much as we can and if we can point you in the right direction for a show then we'll try our best.  Please do not take it personally!  PS - Try www.phillyshreds.com.

- If I send you some interview questions will you answer them?
Sure.  I will warn you that we sometimes take a while to respond.  One way to speed up the process is to send interesting questions.  We get tired of the same old generic punk-zine questions...  So please, for our sake, think up some good ones, eh?

- I heard you guys are signing to a major label, you have a guarantee, and you're sponsored by all these companies 'n' shit...  Say it ain't so!

Nope.  Certain folks like to perpetuate lies about people they don't know(and sometimes people they know) to move higher up on the punk-rock food chain, especially when they've dug themselves into holes they can't get out of.  We will continue to write/play music and we will continue to work with people we trust and can communicate with.  We will also continue to break our instruments as well as our van and shell out any savings we have to fix them.

-Do you guys have any copies of your first 7" left?  Or the split with Deathbag?  Will they ever be repressed?
Besides our own personal copies, there are none left.  Honestly, they're not that good.  You can try ebay if you're desperate.  We've seen them occasionally go for ridiculous prices on there and we think that is a travesty...  It's really not worth it.  The songs are available on our "This is Only the Beginning" CD remastered in their original mixes (DO NOT buy the OOP Witch Hunt - "EP's/Crucial Chaos Radio" CD on Profane if you see it.  The remixed versions on that CD sound like garbage) along with our first LP and some demos so ya get more for your buck.  No plans to ever repress, sorry!!!

-What releases have you put out?
