Wowwwwwww...........

This week has been intense! It started off with Darude and I playing a set in Clearwater, Florida. The atmosphere was cool, lade back vibe. Started off the set with some Electro Breaks, then went into some straight up bangers! I was a lil pissed, because some one bumped into my pedal board and F*d it up, so I wasn't able to do any of my songs over my beats, but it turned out regardless.

From Tampa, I went straight to Miami for the Winter Music Conference. 2nd year now. And I couldn't believe all the people that came out this year. It was up 60 percent. Man I love hearing that. More and more people are getting into Dance Music. We are blessed!!! BT and Christian Burns (formally of BBMac) met up with me and this is when things got crazy. 3 single guys in Miami!! It was like a scene out of Girls Gone Wild. HAhahah. Total frat party, playing pranks on eachother, seeing who would do the craziest thing. We started a boy band called The Jaundice Brothers.... give the face that us total white boys got seriously burned in the sun, the moment we went out. haha. Watch out Jonas Brothers we're gonna take over your teeny boppers and show them what real music is like.

Everything led up to Friday night. ULTRA!!! I was sooooo freaking stoked I couldn't take it. Got there around 4 and linked up with Shiny Toy Guns. Met them a while back, when KJ and I did a show in Tennessee. I recently became friend with Sisely, so It was great to see her f'ing own the stage and catch up on life. She pumped me up so much, I knew when we played after them, we we're gonna rip it.

Are set went OFF!!! All new music from BT. The crowd couldn't handle it. There was about 10,000 people there in the first song and as soon as the sun set a track later, there was 20,000. Insane! This year I was Flaver Flave..hahaha. Hype man extraordinaire. I beatboxed, sang a lil diddy called Simply Being Loved and did some vocal production.

This was the stupid thang... The second song from the end was cut short. The shitty monitor man. Cut off Jess in the middle of her and Brians song and after that Shiny Toy Guns, were coming back on stage to do Flaming June with us, It was going to be epic. He screwed us. But in the end, it didn't matter. The fans had there faces blown off and we had a great time. Festival gigs, never have there shit together. Oh well, maybe next year we'll just sit on stage with lap tops.... hahaha doubt it.

The whole week was crazy. Went to see some Dub step, A Sides for some Drum N Bass, Hung with Sasha and Digweed at Mansion. Met up with my friend Emily to go See my brotha DJ Dan and Quiver. Ended up running into some old raver friends from 97. This year was amazing. Miami I will see you again!

I landed in Vegas around 8pm last night to play Paul Oakenfolds - Planet Perfecto with Darude. I can't even explain to you how excited I was to play Vegas. I was on at 1am. This place went off. I get a lil nervous, because I haven't DJ'd since around 99, but I've been working my ass off and last night was the time to prove to myself, that I still had it.

Bam!!! Slayed um. I'm not one to brag, but last night was EPIC!! I might get a residency in Vegas. Fingers Crossed. Blending, singing, beatboxing and some sick electro, got me so hyped. Pictures and Video, coming soon.

Hope you are all liking the new Layout my friend Chip made. He is an amazing graphic artist and a good friend.

Oh... and I also just got into Twitter, cause BT is a freak about it. Come say hi and chat.

Hey guys and gals.

Just wanted to wish all my Irish folk a happy, jolly, most excellent of a holiday.

Been a busy month for me so far. I took a road trip down to LA with my best friend Jesse and now I'm in LA for a couple months working on the new record.

Things have been going great so far. Just played American Idol Extra, that should be on television in the next month. There's talk of me getting back on American Idol to release my new single, which could be sweet.

Tommy Boy records and I have been working away on this new project and it is sounding amazing. Been writing daily and I'm really looking forward to hearing what you all think, when the album is released.

Hope you are all amazing and have a great St. Patty's.

I don't even know what that means…

HI… I'm back. It's been a minute trying to sort out all this tour hoopla. There has been so much going on this month and I'm about to tell you bout it, so hold on to your nuggets.

"Selfless", that's the title of the new track I just released with Darude on a compilation called Dance 4 Life. Dance4Life is an international organization, which supports the battle against the spread of HIV and AIDS. This initiative is supported in more than 20 countries - young people from Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Kenya, Mexico, Moldova, The Netherlands, Nigeria, Uganda, Russia, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Spain, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, United States, Vietnam, Zambia, and Zimbabwe are supporting this worldwide movement.

For the first time ever, Dance4Life is releasing a digital download compilation. More than 20 scene-leading artists have donated their tracks in support of Dance4Life and the battle against HIV and AIDS. One of the projects that will be aided by this compilation is Schools4Life, which brings attention to HIV and AIDS in schools around the world.

I can't do all the promotion myself, so the wonderful people at Idolbored and The B.L. Army are stepping in an helping me promote. Thank goodness! if I didn't have fans like you all, I don't know what I'd do. If you guys are interested in helping out, please get in contact with The Idolbored or The B.L. We went to Norway to play some B.Ball against the Norwegian National Team. Man did I suck. Bshorty is no baller! It was an amazing, short trip and I met some pretty amazing people. It was a little strange, cause I felt a little bit at home in Bergen, Norway. Its a port and reminded me a lot like home, here in Washington. Posted some pics for your viewing pleasure.

My New Pup!!!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Meet Sir Diddimus..... It is funny that people say that dogs are just like there owner. I didn't believe it till now. Sir Dids.. is super chill and when you get him going he's a lil hyper terrorizer. I've never had a dog and I thought now was the perfect time. He's my lil buddy. I picked him up off of Petfinder.com through Gingers Pet Rescue here in Seattle. If you are looking at getting a pet I highly suggest Petfinder.com or finding out where your nearest Pet Rescue Center is. There are thousands of amazing dogs, cats, bird and many other pets each year that have been mistreated and never have seen what its like to be loved.

On to news....
Where to start.... Orchestral Drive-By: KJ and I are about 5 songs deep now. Can't wait for you all to hear this. I haven't been this excited in a while. I haven't been able to produce in a year and half, besides a couple songs on A.D.D. and from what I have learned in the last year, it sure has paid off. STOKED!!!

I just finished up shooting a music video for my friends Common Market. The song is called Trouble Is and the video was shot my Zia. And amazing director, who I will be working with in the near future. I played 4 different characters. Watch out for Bob Bobberson, Guy with wig on... heheh, The omni-supergalactic music director Rich Buttersfield and Myself.

Bob Bobberson..... Bob Bobberson is here.

I'm heading to Norway next week for a Charity basket ball game. SO Pumped!! I've never been to Norway before. I haven't played basketball in God knows how long. And let me tell ya... That gonna be one excited adventure. Me out of shape, doing 360 jumps.. hahaha not so much. Wish me luck.

In about an hour, I'm heading up to the mountains for some R & R at The Summer Meltdown. My favorite music festival I go to every summer. Magic!!

What's going on everyone??? Much has happened in the last month and I'm gonna start from now and go back.

What a crazy week leading to today. I'll start with last monday. A.D.D. band rehearsal. This was so nice! This was the first time we have rehearsed in my house. It worked out so great. I was a nice two days with my bros, kickin it, jammin out to You Give Love A Bad Name, getting our 80's rock on for a corporate gig for HP in Vegas on thursday. When rehearsing was done Kent, Jeremy and Nails and I watched the Final NBA game. Johnny was pissed!! I laughed. I didn't care to much. But preferred Boston. Garnet and Allen played for Seattle so I was a little bias.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Now to the phone call. I planned for Wednesday to be my day to rehearse for tonight's Canal Room show, cause we were leaving on Thurs. to play Vegas. Ring, ring, ring went the phone. Iain my manager baring the news. Arista isn't picking up the second option. Meaning, I'm not doin another record with them. I'm totally fine with this... I was just wishing they would have put the word out to me over the last couple months, because lets face it..... Waiting SUCKS!!!! I could have known this 2 months ago, when all of RCA was going through there changes. Oh well. I guess the right time was now. No biggy. I'm still with 19 Recordings and I got a tour and new record on the way.
Now I'll I need is a home for my music. Some place warm and tropical.... seriously though... Got to be a place where they actually respect my craft and electronic music. Getting RCA to do remixes for my record was like pulling teeth AND I had friends do the mixes for next to nothing. They turned out great and are rising on the Billboard charts. How Many Words is in the top 40. HOLY SHIT!!!! its currently 29. So freaking pumped. People been shakin there booties to some electro Brake.. hehe Thanks to all the DJs playing my song. Lovin you right now!
Wednesday ended with me rehearsing for a couple hours, just fine tuning some of my pedals and playing the piano.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
And the clock strikes Thursday. VEGAS BABY!!!! Needless to say, we were all pretty stoked to be here for one night. This was Kents first experience of Vegas, so we had to go all out. We stayed at The Venetian and played in the ballroom. Ended up getting a couple friends to come out. Super nice of them to come out from Cali. Show-time was great. Really nice system and everything went off great. I did a little beat box HP commercial pitching to them the idea for one. Really fun!
The night progressed, we watched Stephen Marely, went to Tao and had the best freaking meal I've had in a long time. They brought out 10 apps and I thought they were entrées... Then they brought those out. We ate like we hadn't for ten years. Perfect!

The boys went home and Johnny and proceeded to Albany, NY for a radio show. It was great. Met up with my friends Metro Station and Ace Young. My friend Blake from Metro actually played a couple keyboard lines on How Many Words. Super great band. It was nice to finally catch up with Ace and hang. His single is coming out soon and I really like it. Much respect.
So we played this radio show and Coolio was there. Gangsta Paradise himself. This story I have to tell. My tour manager, Ace and I are chillin in my room and BOOM!! The fire alarm goes off. This goes on for a good half hour and then BANG, BANG, BANG! Knocks on the door. Its Coolio's nephew/producer Ghost. Super chill/nice guy and Ace, He and I start rappin bout life and Cool. then ten minutes later there's another knock at the door. "Fire Department"... open the door and who else could it be... Coolio. I'm laughing. That was funny enough for me. Coolio at my door and he probably started the fire alarm and ran to my room for cover. Perfect way to end a great day.

Johnny and I head to Connecticut the next day for a show. My friend came down from Boston and we kicked it. This show was much for lax, cause it was super bad weather. We had a good time and went out for some dinner. After all that, Johnny and I ended up working on a song I had written a year ago, that I wanted to change. By the end of the night we had an Epic song of Beattle proportion.. This one is going on the record KJ and I are producing. I'm really excited now. We have three songs underway and they are sounding killer. I'm giving this track the title Save Us for now. Johnny and I are going to start working on the pre production in the weeks to come. Super STOKED!!!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Well things are pretty positive for me right now and I owe that allot to you guys. Thanks for all the amazing comments and messages everyday. I truly do appreciate all that you do.

I think thats about it for now. I got a couple shows in the works. oh.. I almost forgot. Darude and I just finished a track called " Selfless" for a charity called Dance 4 Life. Its and AIDS foundation and I couldn't be more happy with the way the song came out. It should be hitting the net soon.

Love, Peace and Beats!

Current mood:  drained

Good day, evening, night, noon thirty, and any other moment in time at which you are reading this message.

Was that a mouthful or what? Whaaaaaaaaaattttttttttssss Happnin??
Alright... I know I've been gone for a minute and have been a hypocrite at tellin you all I would message more. I apologize. I have actually been In a weird Funk for a month or two and have finally gotten out of it. Booya. So much dark and light. Balance is the theme of my life right now. Taking time to reflect, while staying absolutely busy has been crazy, but is the reason I am at one.

Lets recap: Last blog I was headed to Miami. I posted some pics since then. Two words. Freaking Brilliant!!! Kevin and I travels down to meet BT and some friends, opened the Winter Music Conference (WMC), play at Ultra with BT (got to sing Never Gonna Come Back Down, hang with my friends DJ Dan and Donald Glaude while watching them play a smoking set at Crobar and do all of BTs Vocal effects/processing) and ended up playing the most glitched out improv/freestyle set with Edit, Richard Devine and BT. What a week.

After that week, I traveled to Albany to play A cappella Innovations, an a cappella conference, all about communicating through the voice. I've played many of these shows back in the day, so it was really nice going to play a solo show buy myself for an hour. It was really nice to just let go and release. Ended up playing the next night with a couple fellow beat boxers/vocal percussionists. Beautiful Light!!

Then Darkness. So I had been doin the whole radio promo tours and let me tell ya. I've never really been a fan of the radio, but always wanted to be a radio DJ. "Strange?" You say. Trying to get them to play my jam has been so grueling. Don't get me wrong, I loved being apart of American Idol and all, but if I have to talk to one more DJ that doesn't really care about my music and wants to know what Simon Cowell or Sanjaya is like, I'm gonna poo my pants. What happened to DJs playing music that provokes emotion? or even music they like. I've talked to most of them and they just do what the next do. There is hope I feel. Still some magic is running through the air. A couple amazing singer/songwriters and producers are fighting there way through the waves, hoping to see the shore…, as am I.

Soooo..... The light at the end of the tunnel is still just a glimmer, but the outlook is filled with illumination.
This just in: I just got back from BTs and we put the UNK in Funk this week on a new track for his new record. If you want to find out more about the track... look up (Strange Attraction at a distance) google that ish. http://www.physicspost.com/articles.php?articleId=213 Einstein at his finest.
On to the now. Currently, presently, and at the moment I'm in New York doin press with my new publicist (Big Machine Media), who's kickin ass and taking names. Boom!

In a few days I will return to my Seattle estate and start working on a new project, that shall be remained un-named, with The roommate, The Drummer, The Twister of Knobs, Mr. KJ Sawka(Kevin). Much music to be made.

Its Here: HOW MANY WORDS – Remixed

I'm so excited I can't take it. My friends DJ Dan and Dave Aude have remixed How Many Words and They are freakin Insane!!! Right now on Itunes the remixes are waiting for you to download. It's really cool for me to hear different interpretations of my song, especially from my friends that know my music and me. Jake Benson did a really nice trance mix as well. They are all killer. Please check them out and get those Little/Big booties rockin out.

Whats next: This is where it gets sticky. As of now, my record label (RCA Music Group) is undergoing changes. To put it lightly, This has been to focal point of Bshortys frustration. Clive Davis has been demoted and Barry Weis has stepped in. Leaving many things up in the air, Audio Day Dream, being one of those. I'm currently waiting for a response and a swift plan of action. Fingers crossed, I'm hoping for the album to be out in Europe, a Tour being planned and the possibility of a new single. Show me the LIGHT, so I won't be left in the dark. All I need is a flashlight and I'll do the rest. Shib?.... Shib!

I would like to thank all of you that has kept supporting me and my efforts to bring positive, creative music to life. It is you that keeps me alive. On that note.

The BLarmy has formed. If you are interested in helping me spread the word. The wonderful people at Idolbored.com have started The BLarmy. Please join forces to help promote this record by checking out Idolbored.

And with that, I leave you with this… It is the balance of life that keeps us human.

Sorry this Blog is so A.D.D. its just one of those days.
