Hello everyone.
Just thought that I'd give you some update concerning the Refused members new projects. And maybe mostly one that might interest all you people that actually give a damn about punkrock!
Dennis and David have a new band together called AC4. It is fast, intense old school hardcore/punkrock. The way it was done back in the day. No metal, no nonsense, no pretentions. Just good clean fun:)
They have a album out on Dennis label Ny Våg. Please check it out if you are interested.
www.myspace.com/ac4hc
www.nyvag.com
www.myspace.com/nyvagrecords
You can order the record straight from Ny Våg but also from Sound Pollution in Stockholm. They have plenty of other good stuff as well.
www.soundpollution.se
A Us press is in the works together with Deranged records but it will take a little while. If you are willing to wait then check out derangedrecords.com.
Other things that might be of interest:
Dennis have a new project called Invasionen. It is the first time he sings in swedish, really cool stuff. Check it out on:
www.myspace.com/invasionensweden
They have a record coming out early next year and they are touring sweden this fall.
David also have a band worth checking out, David Sandström Overdrive. They released a record earlier this year called Pigs Lose. Some good rocktunes.
Check them out at:
www.myspace.com/davidsandstromoverdrive
He is currently working on some solo stuff that is about to be unleashed on the world next year.
Also, please check out Dennis Label Ny Våg. It has some really cool stuff on it.

Enjoy!

So, there is something really abstract about thousands and thousands of people being into somthing that I did years and years ago. Although we all move on in life I would like to thank you all for being my friends and for being into the music and the ideas, means alot.
Anyway, I just wanted to do some blatant self promotion hoping that someone might be interested in what I am doing right now.
Since Refused broke up I've been busy spreading politics and loud rock music with the (international) Noise Conspiracy.
www.myspace.com/internationalnoiseconspiracy
www.internationalnoise.com
But the real reason that I am writing you right now is that on the 16th of October I am releasing a record with my other band The Lost Patrol Band. The record is called Automatic and is being released on Burning Heart Records (no Us Label or release date yet). Please check out new songs and a brand new video on:
www.myspace.com/lostpatrolband
The vinylversion will be released on My own little Punklabel that I started about two years ago so if you want to check out some great retro punk please check out:
www.myspace.com/nyvagrecords
www.nyvag.com
I am also doing a podcast things on the Ny Våg records site where I talk shit and play old and new punk / powerpop and Hardcore music, so if you want to know what I am into please give it a listen.
There's rumours about me and David doing something together next, yeah... I will keep you posted on that. Something might happen.
Once again Thanks for being my friends and I hope that you have the time, desire or energy to check out what I am doing right now. Would be really nice.
Talk to you soon.
Arm yourself to Live, now more than ever.
Love
Dennis

WE GIVE YOU HEARTATTACKS!
Burning Heart says: Check out the our new here! www.burningheart.com/ecard/heartattacks
RAISED FIST goes from strength to strength. After the anticipated delivery of the new frenetic metal/hardcore monster "Sound Of The Republic" the band has decided to give more dedication to; touring! The word is already out there how good they are live, and the 'rebirth of hardcore pride' screams that echoed over Europe this summer is now bound to finally hit 'hold your breath 'Australia!!! Where the number of RF fans are known to outnumber kangaroos. Hard to believe maybe but the bands first ever Australian tour is now confirmed. Dates are to be found at www.myspace.com/raisedfist A Swedish and Finnish tour is in the works for December, rescheduled Canadian dates are being looked at too, and the band is also looking at a lengthier European round in the new year. Did someone say 'what about the United States? Well, whenever there's a US promoter ready to spend some green and take some fucking risk with European talent, and flying over a European hardcore band (happens once every ten year) the band is there to deliver - no barrels hold total Raised Fist-style!
Last time someone did (it seems like) was with REFUSED. And we all know how that wentThe band broke up! A decade of legendary-status later the last disastrous period has (as you must know by now) been documented on the DVD-testament "REFUSED ARE FUCKING DEAD" out now on Burning Heart/Epitaph worldwide. A great film about a band who still inspires, and boost healthy inspirational heart attacks to new fans, bands and individuals worldwide. Comrades buy the DVD and in all way possible continue to honor their memory! Burned photos and bio's aside, here's a band that deserves to be remembered till time gives up on us! www.myspace.com/refused
Sad, sad news hit us in August as BOYSETSFIRE declared they were calling the shoots. We were just warming up over here at Burning Heart, happy having signed the band and released their brilliant swansong album "The Misery Index". A fantastic record that needs to be heard by anyone into progressive diverse hardcore! Or great music of any sort for that matter! It's a killer (get a hint at www.myspace.com/boysetsfire). Sadly all we can do now is weep and hope the Mighty God is more selective next time he sends his wrath upon us and delivers band split-up punches. Why BSF when there's so many shitty bands that needs to die? Life is unfair as if mankind didn't know already.
Yeah, some days gives rain, others sunshine. Guess on what kind of day Burning Heart recently managed to sign Australias PARKWAY DRIVE? Go figure! Over here we are super stoked about this Aussie success-story that is now signed to Burning Heart in Europe and Epitaph for the rest of the world (excluding Australia where they remain with Resist). Check out their brilliant epic album "Killing With A Smile"out now! Thunderous mosh-parts, excellent metallic-riffing, gruff brutal vocals and breakdowns to kill for. Great songs too, if I didn't already mention that?! Metalcore/hardcore in it´s finest and purest! We urge you to instantly check out "Gimme A D"and other songs over at www.myspace.com/parkwaydrive. Chances are big you'll soon see them live too as they seems to have read Black Flags 'Get in the Van' from day one in school. Hard-touring Bruz coming to a venue near you soon! Europe will be hit this month as the band is out supporting Shai Hulud.
Finally, finally we give you the shape of Heartattacks to come in form of our latest 'prospects' PATH OF NO RETURN. A young Swedish band you'll be soon hearing more about. Check out their video here and also make sure you head over to their myspace-page (www.myspace.com/pathofnoreturn) and check out some more songs from their album "Black Nights Coming" that came out last year. A new one with newly added frontman Patrik Jakobsson is in the works, and is bound to see life early 2007. Other important news; the band is now confirmed for the well-known CLOSE UP MADE US DO IT tour with ARCH ENEMY and COLDWORKER. Hitting Scandinavia in October! More to report on these up and coming dudes very soon!
We salute you! BURNING HEART RECORDS
PS. We promise to salute you even more if you wanna add the banner for the WE GIVE YOU HEARTATTACKS banner to your site.

Bom Dia all friends of Refused.
Sorry for causing confusion. A few people wrote in being pissed telling us Refused were raving too much about the importance of their own place in history (bulletin mailouts) good reviews etc.
Just have to inform you all that Refused don´t do these mailouts. Burning Heart Records, the label of Refused are the guilty ones for trying to teach the world and make the world a better place by preaching about these dead old guys.
If ex-members of Refused ever visits these pages we don´t know. Secretly they might do.
As we see it the band deserves to be heard by millions so we are just here doing all we can to convince you.
Burning Heart Records taking all the blame. /Burning Heart Records

The "REFUSED ARE FUCKING DEAD" DVD has now been out for a month or so and the response from media and fans so far has been really overwhelming. We are yet to see some US press, but at least the British press loved it. Hope there´s some people with taste over in the new world too. If you haven't seen this gem already you are really missing out on something! Our recommendation is: check it out and buy yourself a copy as soon as possible. Just in case you been been in jail, been isolated at the Guantamo base, or just recently woke up from a long beauty-sleep , here's reality: the almighty Refused were a band that changed the musical landsscape for ever. For good and bad ( if you ask them...) with bands all across the world paying homeage name-dropping the band as 'the shit' in regards to their -98 released masterpiece "The Shape Of Punk To Come". A record that had it been under the radar of big media magazines, rock critics would be hailed and praised like there was no tomorrow. Some magazines has not missed out though. Germanys biggest indie/alternative magazine Visions ranked the album as the #9 most important album ever. We're talking competition with Neil Young, Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Metallica etc - all the big dinosaurs. The UK's Big Cheese had the album as #2 in their listing of the most important punk/hardcore albums ever. If I am not mistaken "Never mind the bollocks" were at #1 and The Clash "London Calling at #3". And some more modest Britons over at Kerrang voted the record number #13 of the most important records ever. Wíth their swansong "The Shape of Punk To Come" Refused managed to kick-start something huge, and in the wake of it has become to modern punk/hardcore/the new school what Minor Threat became in the 80´s, or what the Pixies became for the indie/alternative scene. A band that will continue to influence bands and individuals for many years to come. In other words: no excuse this record should not be in your collection. Here's a bunch of reviews we just picked up, and a link to a great feature/interview with ex-guitar player Kristofer Steen (maker of the film): drownedinsound.com/content/view/777156 KERRANG KKKK "...the footage that is used in the documentary itself captures their rage, their passion and their very vitality in a way rarely managed on television. They were perfect. Refused are fucking dead, long live fucking Refused. Emma Johnston www.kerrang.com
BIG CHEESE * * * * "Dennis Lyxzén, Jon Brannstrom, Kristofer Steen and David Sandstrom changed the face of punk and hardcore forever" Ian Chaddock www.bigcheesemagazine.com
ROCKSOUND 8/10 "...it is Steen's documentary that is the real draw here. Not only has he cleared the fog of mystery surrounding the bands demise, he has also established himself as a talented filmmaker..." Mike Kemp www.rock-sound.net 5/5 "In one word: Awesome". Dan Jones www.rockmidgets.com Also, when we are at it we want to remind you all about the new RAISED FIST album that came out in Northamerica yesterday. A great release by what is probably, or we might as well say it loud: certainly one of the best hardcore/metal bands out there right now. "Sound of The Pepublic" is out now on Epitaph. And if you love hard stuff check it out. myspace.com/raisedfist

BUYERS INFO: Since we posted the bulletin about the Refused Are Fucking Dead DVD, a lot of questions about where to buy it has been posted. We will make sure that kind of information is posted here later on. I have seen the film, and it's nothing but amazing if you ask me. It is definitely something to look forward too. And believe in.
NEW WEBSITE: Micke Leksand, the nice guy and publiser of REFUSED's official website has rebuild it and added some new stuff. Check it out here: www.burningheart.com/refused
The DVD "Refused Are Fucking Dead set for release!
Refused are dead. They spent their last year in existence touring godforsaken hellholes scattered around the western world. This is their testament.
In 1997 Refused wrote and recorded their farewell record, the seminal "The shape of punk to come", hailed by many as an undisputed masterpiece of the genre.
Years of intensive touring were finally paying off some and yet within the band there brooded a feeling of bitter fatigue. Weary and tired Refused dutifully put on a series of uninspired performances, grinding what little energy they still possessed down to nothing.
When the police officers finally forced their way through the crowd at their very last show with the intention to shut it down, it seemed a fitting end to a story of revolutionary romanticism and merry rebellion.
However, the band members felt liberated as well as conflicted by the intervention, far from the defiant emotions of their audience.
In this undaunted documentary, Refused guitarist Kristofer Steen retraces the steps of how punk rocks brave new sound forged its way through the swamps and swill on their last campaign in Europe and America, rushing like mad dogs to meet with their inevitable doom.
Also includes Exclusive live-material.
